Guest Column: Anne J. Bailey's 'Farewell Article'

Hello Friends and Readers,

Anne J. Bailey here. I have bad news for you. This is a decision I did not reach without a lot of deliberation, thought and prayer.

This will be my last article to appear on this Spiritswander Blog. I hope considering all of my significant contributions that I will be given the respect of not having my final article edited and that it will be published in its entirety as God intended it to be.

As Christians, we can not allow disrespect to our beliefs or freedom of speech. Just as the brave county clerk, Kim Davis, showed all of America, we must stand up to forces trying to silence our beliefs. We must always act in a manner that God instructs to act. God has spoken to me and has put it in my heart that I cannot allow Spiritswander to disrespect me and the Christian work any longer.

I will explain because the truth must be known. I am as mad as heck. This is a result of how I have been treated despite the massive amounts of feedback to my columns and my writings and that I allowed the Spirtiswander blog to reap the benefits of the attention from my work.

It is unfortunate, because great things could have come if Spiritswander had accepted my generous offer to take full control of the blog months ago. It could have turned into a great Christian voice on the Roloffs and life lessons that would serve the readership and earn the respect of the Roloffs.

My offer was not accepted. Yet I moved forward and contributed my columns all the time while I was never and have never been compensated for my contributions.

Furthermore, I made a simple request initially and then after it happened week after week and that is that Rap541 not be allowed to respond to my articles. I believe Rap541 is the work of the devil and seeks to defend Jacob and create chaos and turn constructive discussion into hateful attacks on the good Christians. Yet my pleas were ignored. Rap541 was permitted to invade my articles week after week.

I have received many emails from other commenters to the blog expressing their disgust for how the Spiritswander Blog is moderated and Rap541's behavior that is tolerated. Even people who disagree with my subject matter want Rap541 to be controlled and banned.

Despite the disrespect of ignoring my requests, I was the bigger person. I did as God commanded me and forgave and moved ahead trusting that the power of my message would make a difference and that evil forces would come around and be defeated just as Audrey Roloff is fighting evil forces hacking her blog.

A while ago, I was informed that my article might be delayed because a person named Benjamin submitted a journal entry from his deceased brother involving an alleged encounter with Jeremy Roloff as apparently Benjamin had asked Spiritiswander to publish it once he submitted it.

As a contributor, whose reputation is now linked to the Spiritswander Blog, I expressed my displeasure and my view that it should never allowed and before it ever be allowed that I be given the final editing and publishing decision. Jeremy's reputation should not be sullied in such a manner by someone who is clearly bitter and blaming their perverted mentally stabled dead family members on Jeremy's Christian actions which were completely justified.

This deeply disturbed me, however, since as far as I know the entry has not been submitted, I moved on.

The next arrow of disrespect was after I informed Spiritswander that my weekly column would be completed following Church on Sunday. Perhaps it was the reference to Church that caused the problem. I do not know. What I do know is that I was rudely informed my column would have to wait because Spiritswander wanted to compose the article featuring Jacob Roloffs distasteful tweet about his family and money from the show. Considering I was the regular contributor to Sundays, I graciously volunteered that I would be responsible for writing the article about Jacob's. I was once again greeted with disrespect and told no I was not allowed.

That was the final straw. God does not want me to be treated with this kind of constant disrespect. Therefore, I refused to contributor anymore content. I am writing one last farewell article. You never know what God will have in store in the future, but for now, it is not my intention to contribute my talents to Spiritswander Blog.

I will leave you in this final column, with parting words for several people both blog related and Roloff related.

To:

Spiritswander,

The Blog you created could have been a glorious and would have celebrated God and been a positive force, if you had allowed me to run the Blog as I saw fit, but you refused. You disrespect Christians all the time and you have to live with your discrimination. God will deal with you for your sins. I have always saw your subtle and not so subtle attacks on Roloffs who are Christian and your promotion of Roloffs who are sinners who mock Christians. So quick to try to demonize Jeremy for alleged comments and actions, yet you encourage and praise Jacob as "honest" when all he did was insult good Christian people. In conclusion, you owe me an apology. I will be waiting.

Rap541,

It is shameful that Spritswander caters to you and allows you to spread your hate against good Christian forces and people. You can not fool me or many Christians. You are full of hatred against Jeremy, Audrey and Matt Roloff. If it was up to me you would have been banned from this blog a long time ago. The devil is in control. I truly believe that.

To the Roloff Family minus Jacob,

While I know you are good Christian people who have my full support I urge you to follow the example of Kim Davis. Stand for Christ. Do not allow yourself to be disrespected by Jacob. The latest stunt he pulled was beyond shameful. To allow him to get away with it and walk over you is not a way to stand proud for Jesus. I pray that you will do the right thing and call Jacob out for his immoral actions, his drug use and stop permitting him to throw dirt in your faces and the faces of all Christians.

To Jeremy and Audrey Roloff,

As mentioned above, I truly wish you would find the courage to stand up to Jacob and call him out. To allow him to disrespect Audrey when she thanks Jesus for the blessings in her life is not a proud moment. Be aware of the example your silence sets when you pretend as though he is a good person when influential young people are seeing his Christian bashing and his glamorization of drugs. Other than that, keep doing what you are doing. Your love is inspiring . It is tremendous to see young Christians following Jesus to give the Lord the glory. God has great things in store for you two. Stay strong and always put Jesus first.

To Tori Roloff,

Good luck with your life ahead. I hope you are sincere in your devotion to God. I urge you to read Timothy Keller's book on marriage. Know the type wife that God calls you to be. Don't fall into the trappings that Amy fell into that they allowed to destroy their marriage. You must pay attention Tori and not allow yourself to become a negative force to your husband.

To Isabel,

Believe it, you have my heartfelt sympathies for the tragedies and loss in your life to date. With God, you can get through anything. Loss can bring you closer to God if you let Him help you.

Young lady, you need God in your life. I have heard that you are interacting more with Destiney Mueller and others associated with the Roloffs who are guided by their love of Christ. Seek them out. Let them show you John Mark Comer's church. Go. Experience. Open your heart. It will change your life. Go without Jacob Roloff.

Isabel, you must eliminate the evils in your life. Dedicate your life to the memories for your loved ones who are no longer with you. Live to make them proud. To do so, you must eliminate the negative forces and evils in your life. No good comes of the drugs. Get away from Jacob Roloff. Any of the material aspects of being in a relationship with Jacob is not worth the damage it is inflicting on your soul and on your life. Mark my words, you will never find true happiness with Jacob Roloff in your life. Do not allow him to define your life. Allow to God to define your life. Find the strength to follow the positive influences in your life and detach from the evil and the negative.

To Destiney and Jacob Mueller,

Stay strong. Do not let the negative and hateful people tear you down. Keep living for Christ as He loves. Teach your children to love and cherish God. Mistakes have been made, yet with God as the center piece, you can accomplish anything and you have already proved many wrong by letting Jesus have control. Let yourself be a positive influence on those around you.

To Jacob Roloff,

I have reached out to you. Others have reached out to you, Yet it is constant disrespect. As it stands now, you have no morals. You have lost all respect from people who count. You are disloyal. Nothing you do creates positive results for the world. Your latest attempt to slander your own family is something that you will have to ask forgiveness for just how shameful it was to tar your own family with that label. There is true darkness and evil in your heart and soul. I can see it. You can not fool me. God has made me wise to you. You have no morals. You have no conscience. You have no boundaries. In spite of that, I will still pray that something will happen that inspire you to see the emptiness of your life and your future and that you will wake up and let Jesus into your life and ask Jesus to fix your soul. All you are doing is bringing darkness and negativity to people; both in your real life (people who have attempted to take their own lives after having been exposed to you) and the damage you do to strangers who are influenced by what you put out to the world on social media. Wake up. Do something productive with your life. That does not mean get high and trash your family on twitter. God is the answer. You must come to that realization. I truly believe your life will be full of nothing but darkness, tragedy, hurt and pain because you are allowing evil and hatred to reign.

To the many Christian readers and supporters,

Thank you friends, brothers and sisters. I did this for you and for God. Never stop speaking for God and the truth. If you choose to remain, I will still support you. I simply cannot remain a contributor to the success of the blog if I am not given the proper respect and am not allowed a say into how to make the Blog a better tool that will expand the Kingdom of God. Thank you from my heart for all of your support and comments and emails. Never stop speaking for what is right and for God.

God bless you all.

Sincerely,

Anne J. Bailey

Guest Column: Rap541's Rebuttal to Anne Bailey's 'Farewell' Article

A Critical Analysis of Anne’s Farewell
I actually considered not doing this, mostly because it feeds the flames of a certain crowd but if Anne is allowed to be “mad as heck” and spew a whole lot of falsehoods and accusations then why can’t I play too? So lets take a look at Anne’s hallowed words. I also considered not doing this simply because it feeds Anne’s ego to get attention – and folks, a several page long “I’m leaving!” rant is attention seeking, but I am also tired of Anne presenting herself as a victim when it’s clearly not the case. So here goes:
"This will be my last article to appear on this Spiritswander Blog. I hope considering all of my significant contributions that I will be given the respect of not having my final article edited and that it will be published in its entirety as God intended it to be."
Anne loves to do this. She’s throwing herself on the cross declaring how awful it is that she might be censored. So when you run to insist this is all about censorship, here are some questions to ask yourself and Anne.
  1. Was this article edited?
  2. Is Anne actually willing to make that accusation? Or is she merely hinting she *may* be edited? Because really, if the very idea of being edited makes her “mad as heck”… well, has she? Has Anne ever straight up said, “my original article was edited into something I can no longer take pride in?”
If the answer is no, then Anne is making a false accusation in an attempt to smear Spirit, who graciously allowed Anne to post here. I’ve seen Anne angry that an article was taken down, and I have seen her harp on how she doesn’t want to be edited… but I have never actually seen Anne say Spirit is maliciously changing her work. She just publically suggests that it could happen. It’s essentially a rumor she won’t commit to.
"As Christians, we can not allow disrespect to our beliefs or freedom of speech. Just as the brave county clerk, Kim Davis, showed all of America, we must stand up to forces trying to silence our beliefs. We must always act in a manner that God instructs to act. God has spoken to me and has put it in my heart that I cannot allow Spiritswander to disrespect me and the Christian work any longer."
I find this hilarious on several levels. For starters, this is not about freedom of speech. No one, and folks, I mean no one, is stopping Anne of writing articles about anything. And if she really feels disrespected by Spirit, then there is absolutely nothing stopping Anne from running her own little blog and having her Sunday column. There’s really not. More on that later.
Now I have my opinion of Kim Davis – but that isn’t important. What Anne wants to suggest is that she, like Kim Davis, is going to the wall for her beliefs. Whether I agree with Kim Davis (I don’t) I do accept that she is at least willing to risk a great deal for her viewpoint. Here’s my problem. Anne is comparing herself to a woman willing to go to jail for her beliefs because… she’s quitting a purely voluntary position over what amounts to well, a childish petty concern. Kim Davis, love her or hate her, really is against gay marriage. She went to jail over it. Anne is really against Jacob Roloff and… quit the fight over feeling disrespected over a scheduling issue. Not over censorship. Over having her article publication delayed due to a breaking story. That’s why Anne quit. She even says so. Anne, you’re no Kim Davis.
"I will explain because the truth must be known.
It could have turned into a great Christian voice on the Roloffs and life lessons that would serve the readership and earn the respect of the Roloffs."
Again this is a false argument. Let me explain. It’s all fine and good to offer to take full control of the blog but… Spirit never actually expressed any interest in having someone take over the blog. That never happened. I mean, I can offer to take over as preacher at Anne’s church but if no one wants my services and if no one ever asked for anyone to take over from the current preacher, then there’s really no reason for me to brag about how awesome I am to have offered. Also this really assumes that Spirit a) wants to be a Christian voice and b) wants the respect of the Roloffs
"My offer was not accepted. Yet I moved forward and contributed my columns all the time while I was never and have never been compensated for my contributions."
Another false argument. One that Spirit actually had to address in a separate article because Anne made such a big deal about it. No one is being compensated for writing for the blog. No one was ever offered compensation for writing for the blog. Anne is complaining that she wasn’t paid as though she has been treated unfairly when Spirit made a point of bluntly explaining to everyone that no one is going to be paid. So why is Anne openly complaining about not being paid? Why is “and I am not being compensated” even part of the discussion?
Oh right, it’s a false argument designed to make Anne appear more of a victim. No one has been compensated for working on the blog.
"Furthermore, I made a simple request initially and then after it happened week after week and that is that Rap541 not be allowed to respond to my articles. I believe Rap541 is the work of the devil and seeks to defend Jacob and create chaos and turn constructive discussion into hateful attacks on the good Christians. Yet my pleas were ignored. Rap541 was permitted to invade my articles week after week."
Hmmm. So she asked that I not be allowed to comment and was told no. So telling Anne no to a request is *victimizing* Anne aka another false argument.
Point – who here who supports Anne would support my making a list of people who can’t post on my articles? I bet none of you would like that. And there’s a reason I don’t ask for that. There’s no discussion to be had if one side is intentionally silenced.
"I have received many emails from other commenters to the blog expressing their disgust for how the Spiritswander Blog is moderated and Rap541's behavior that is tolerated. Even people who disagree with my subject matter want Rap541 to be controlled and banned."
Hee hee “Everyone anonymously agrees with me!”
"Despite the disrespect of ignoring my requests, I was the bigger person.

This deeply disturbed me, however, since as far as I know the entry has not been submitted, I moved on"
Anne actually compares herself to the blessed Audrey, interesting. I again note that Anne’s method of fighting evil forces is to whine a little bit and then quit, after you know, being theoretically disrespected.  But lets look at this more closely. Anne, who doesn’t own the blog or control the blog, told the owner of the blog to not publish an article. When told no, Anne then insisted she be allowed final edit and commentary as there were things she absolutely refused to have published. In the blog that she doesn’t actually own or control.
How was Spirit disrespecting Anne? Anne was openly disrespecting Spirit, and has the gall to post this lengthy “I didn’t get my way so I stomped my feet like a whiny child and now I am going complain in public how UNFAIR it is”.
It’s not unfair. Spirit owns the blog and gets to make all the final decisions. If Anne wants to run her own blog where she can print what she wants, its childishly simple for her to do so. Instead, she disrespects Spirit on Spirit’s own blog. I personally wouldn’t tolerate it but Spirit is clearly a better person than I in allowing Anne to post such disrespectful drivel. Anne would have no voice at all if it wasn’t for Spirit – she won’t set up her own blog, and she disrespects Spirit openly and Spirit still allows her to post, That’s pretty damn generous if you ask me, especially since Anne shows her gratitude by spitting in Spirit’s face.
I actually asked Spirit about this article btw because I was curious but apparently there was a journal entry from Benjamin's brother that needed to be transcribed and Benjamin has yet to get back to Spirit with it. It’s a pity.
It’s not a conspiracy.
"The next arrow of disrespect was after I informed Spiritswander that my weekly column would be completed following Church on Sunday. Perhaps it was the reference to Church that caused the problem. I do not know."
Again, Anne making an accusation that is untrue and disrespectful to Spirit. As Anne later describes, Spirit had a perfectly reasonable reason to push back publishing Anne’s article. If Spirit just had a problem with church… why would Spirit post anything from Anne?
" What I do know is that I was rudely informed my column would have to wait because Spiritswander wanted to compose the article featuring Jacob Roloffs distasteful tweet about his family and money from the show. Considering I was the regular contributor to Sundays, I graciously volunteered that I would be responsible for writing the article about Jacob's. I was once again greeted with disrespect and told no I was not allowed."
So first off, we’re not assigned days. J
Second, its Spirit’s blog. Spirit wanted to write the article about Jacob’s tweets. Spirit is under no obligation to post ANYTHING from anyone. It was something Spirit wanted to write about and Spirit reserved the topic. Getting told no is NOT being disrespected. Really.
"That was the final straw. God does not want me to be treated with this kind of constant disrespect. Therefore, I refused to contributor anymore content. I am writing one last farewell article. You never know what God will have in store in the future, but for now, it is not my intention to contribute my talents to Spiritswander Blog"
Oh look! Anne is firmly standing tall. Until you know, she isn’t getting attention and then she and God will have a chat and it will somehow come out that yup, Anne is a Warrior for God again… until she gets bored or finds it too difficult to come up with fresh articles about how Audrey’s skin cream is approved by Jesus. Then we’ll get another disrespectful flounce.
Then we get Anne’s lengthy goodbyes. For the record, a friend of mine reading your declaration that I was the devil actually guffawed in laughter at that. I’m not going to run down ALL the declarations because frankly it’s all the same thing we hear from Anne. She lets all the Roloffs off the hook for not endorsing her viewpoint because she’s setting a horrendous example herself by not standing tall for Jesus here. She calls Jacob evil. She continues to insist God wants her to quit. She exhorts people to speak out even as she quits the fight.
Minor interjection. If Anne really wants a blog to control, its childishly simple to set one up. The only reason she doesn’t is because she wants the audience Spirit already built and doesn’t want to work for it. That’s always been the Christian argument against setting up a blog… it would be too hard and it’s just easier to demand Spirit hand over the blog already built up. My advice to the whiners? Do your work.
Anne, if anyone is owed an apology, it’s you owing Spirit a big one for being so incredibly rude and arrogant and ungrateful. Have you ever thanked Spirit for letting you post articles?

I’m betting the answer is no. You’ve certainly done nothing but publicly complain and whine like an ungrateful child.

Jacob Roloff Starts A Blog

Jacob Roloff has started a blog -- a site featuring his writings on various topics.

http://medium.com/@JGRoloff/

Jacob has linked it from both his twitter page and his Instagram account.

It is on Medium.com.

So far he has two items up.

The first one was entitled "What religion are you"

Here is a portion of  it:

"'What religion are you?' I find this question to be too commonly and casually asked, when the subject could be so profound if discussed between two people equally interested and open. The definition of religion is “the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a God or gods.”

Today however, it seems like the word, religion, can only mean one of the 4 most ‘popular’ organized religions: Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. Herein lies one of modern society’s biggest flaws: the need to label and simplify and categorize absolutely everything. People want it to be easy to say, “Hey, what religion are you?” And then it only takes one word for the other person to ‘know’ and assume where you stand on countless issues usually intertwined with religion, namely abortion, and on a broader level, the beginnings of humankind.

In my mind, religion, or a word more to my liking, spirituality, isn’t a light subject and takes a real connection and real time to discuss. Not something to just make small talk about and possibly have one more thing in common...."

His second item titled "Tiamat Revolution" consists his thoughts on the book "Chaos, Creativity and Cosmic Consciousness".

On a sad note, Matt announced on Thursday February 18th, that his friend Pondo, owner of the Mad Greek Deli, passed away at age 49 due to a blood hemorrhage. Pondo appeared on some episodes of Little People, Big World, specifically in scenes with Matt discussing the state of his marriage to Amy. People familiar with Matt's Facebook page, would know that Matt often posted several photos of himself with Pondo at his restaurant.

Matt Roloff: Feb 18, 2016 - via Facebook:

"Today we buried my very close friend and confidant Pondo. Many of you might remember seeing him on several past episodes of our show over the years. He owned the Mad Greek Deli that I (our family) often visited. I wish I could tell you all.. the full story of my friend Pondo the Greek (Pantelis 'Pondo' Kosmos). He was an amazing friend, son, brother, husband and father. He was an undisputed pillar in our community. Everyone far and wide loved his friendship and larger then life persona. With that said... No one loved him more then his family and his strong and beautiful wife Lori their 5 children. We lost Pondo last Sunday at the young age of 49 to a sudden blood hemorrhage. Pondo was an Inspiration and bright light to everyone who knew him. The Funeral service today was PACKED. Hundreds and hundreds of people poured into the standing room only church as a great testament and honor for exactly how this man lived his life. Many wonderful things were said about him... His mother Anna said to me today, between her tears of grief ... She said .... "Matt, thanks for being Pondos friend" ... She went on to say .."I must have done something right to raise such a man who is so Loved by so many people"! Yes Anna (and Tom). You certainly did!! As we hold Lori and the family up In our arms and prayers ... We thank you Pondo for simply being You! May God Bless you and your family. Google his story"

Their most recent video is called "Spring Break - The Roloff Siblings In Bend". Although Jacob and his girlfriend are not in Jeremy and Audrey's vlog, they did all get together in Bend, Oregon where Jeremy and Audrey live.

In the video Jeremy talks about his desire to start vlogging.

Zach to Jeremy: So you're going to start vlogging?

Jeremy: That's the plan. Do you think it's a good idea, Zach?

Zach: Yeah, vlogging is fun. You have the equipment, camera, the skills and the lifestyle that you can add enough content

Jeremy: I sure hope so. I'm just excited to do something that's not priority driven. Filming that's not on an agenda. So, basically just home videos.

Zach: Yeah, edited home video. True, edited home videos.

Jeremy: Yeah, Audrey and I have been talking about it. We grew up filming our entire lives filming for an agenda. So now I'm excited to film it for person reasons, just home videos that we happen to share....so we're excited to start vlogging for home personal use and start documenting our life so we have the video and not a company.

On to other Roloffs...Jacob Roloff -- As has been discussed in the comments on our Blog, Jacob and his girlfriend got into another spat with a person commenting who posted a negative comment regarding their lack of jobs. Isabel implied that they just don't disclose if they have a job or not.

Two of the main criticisms of Jacob (and his girlfriend - Isabel) from some people right now is that they "don't have jobs" and of Jacob specifically, that he expressed his hatred for filming and for the show "Little People, Big World" yet still participated in filming after it was his decision to take part and appear or not. The Roloffs are currently filming for more episodes and the "Roloff Siblings get together in Bend" (with Jacob and Isable) is expected to appear on TLC. Both of those issues surfaced in the comments to Jacob's instagram.

Jacob posted this caption about reading a book a month:

jacobroloff45
My New Years resolution was to read one book a month; since January I've read 6 and in almost every single one of them a quote or reference to Rainer Maria Rilke was used. I was most intrigued by the first one I read, in The Bassoon King by @rainnwilson, who oddly enough was named after Rainer: "Have patience in everything that remains unsolved in your heart. Try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books written in a foreign language. Do not now look for the answers. They cannot be given to you because you could not live them. It is a question of experiencing everything. At present you need to live the question. Perhaps you will gradually, without even noticing it, find yourself experiencing the answer, some distant day." Anyway, the same day Izzy was talking to me about wanting to write her own poetry, this book happened to be emailed to me as a recommendation from Amazon and I figured [insert pronoun] wanted her to write more, so I had to get it for her. #READMORELEARNMORE

lauracroz@jacobroloff45 What kind of work do you two do that allows for the travel?

jacobroloff45@lauracroz I've done work in the past for about 11 years, and most jobs after have been labor and short term engagements. It's more acceptable schedule to our desire to travel!

  • izzygarretonHow can you possibly even know that @mmstl314 we don't disclose every detail of our lives on here. No need for assumptions
  • mmstl314@izzygarreton Ohhh then you do work????
  • izzygarretonYes I do. Do I need to tell you where, the name of my boss, how much I make an hour and how many hours a week I work? Don't think you know everything because we don't post about it. @mmstl314
  • jacobroloff45@mmstl314 yes I have time, because I have money saved up from the show and I take FLEXIBLE jobs, non commitment jobs, and look! I'm happy and am apart of a loving family that's my own! That's more than I can say for you; a Spiritswander lackey who is so frustrated with their own existence you feel it's unfair others find it so easy to be happy. Well, I hope you find balance. Salaam
  • jacobroloff45@mmstl314 and? If I despise being filmed I can't take the money from the time I spent doing so, to get as far away as possible from that life? Rest assured I'm not SCARED of the cameras. I know how to handle them now, but as soon as I could I got my named crossed out on the contract. That doesn't mean appearing at events for my family means I'm also there for the cameras. It's a terrible coincidence, but again, I know who I am now in front of them.

Moving on...Amy Roloff has been doing some speaking engagements in Oklahoma and Kansas.

amyjroloffIn Wichita KS for a speaking engagement - Get Motivated. Love eating at local hangouts. So where's my steak, cowboy boots & hat & horse? Stay focus Amy you speak tomorrow

As usual, Amy is not a fan of flying, she tweeted a complaint about getting the middle seat on Southwest..

Flying southwest not fun when you don't book your ticket. Middle seat? Yuck!

Amy also tweeted that she was in court

Early morning already. Court. It's an intimating place Having good representation makes it a little better

A new episode of Little People, Big World aired last night Tuesday May 3rd, 2016 on TLC.

Guest reviewers Rap541 and Podge/Rodge Groupie graciously agreed to write reviews/recaps:

Written By Rap541

My goodness this is on late. And based on a really weird premise, as near as I can tell, that fans are somehow invited to the farm to ask questions and have “spirited trivia contests”. I mean, how does one get an invite to *that*?

But hey, Ted Cruz has given up the race, and I have a glass of wine.

Oh hey, I did happen to peruse www.beating50percent.com because I was curious if Auj and Jer had any more beliefs they wanted to stand up for… especially after so many people here were praising them for taking a stand. Funny – in the “don’t have opposite sex friends” post where they were STANDING TALL against the gays and proudly noting how their blog was not for gays…. There WERE 205 comments and now there are 142. EVERY SINGLE COMMENT where a Roloff took a stand is gone. EVERY SINGLE ONE. So is every single non complimentary post, including the one from Jeremy’s friend, and including almost every single one that disagreed with the basic premise of the blog post. Funny how that happened huh? That Auj and Jeremy aren’t proud of those remarks and took them down before new episodes that will no doubt feature their web blog were aired. Guess we know where Jer and Auj stand – they prefer the money to being upfront about their views.

Anyway, lets see how ridiculous this episode is.

So its irritating that the Duggar nonsense ran long when this is late already.

The Roloffs have invited their superfans to the farm to ask questions, Nothing is off limits.  The “creepers” are here!

Because I know the Roloffs are assholes about crazy fans who are middle aged and who have signs, I am genuinely curious if anyone will get a lecture on how “creepy” they are and how NO ONE is to judge any Roloff.

Weirdly it starts with the Roloffs asking questions. Also they’re all on haybales. The crazy fans are from everywhere. Jeremy’s man bun is hilarious and I don’t see Jacob at all. Apparently the roloffs are competitive and we get some clips since this is a cheap episode of clips. Oh hey we’re playing Roloff show trivia. They pick teams. Apparently there’s creeper fan prizes for the creepers and everyone looks awkward.

There’s trivia. I am not recapping that. Now there’s a commercial.

This is honestly so painful to watch.

So Matt basically fails at trivia. I am genuinely unconvinced that this is actually at the farm because the “barn area” looks pretty fake  and like an indoor studio. Now more clips of built stuff. The fans kiss their asses as Matt insists the farm is more about the family than any profit. It’s weird how Matt and Amy focus on how the kids are KIDS and never grown up.

Tori, Audrey, how weirded out are you by this? ITS SO AWESOME!

No one asks why Jacob isn’t there.

Next up! Newlywed stuff!

The weird hostess says they are in the wedding barn but…. It looks too stable. Now wedding clips.
Now there’s a skype question! WILL THERE BE BABIES! Basically the answer is “not soon”. The hostess says “since you’re all newlyweds…” there is a contest but I must note the traditional definition of newlywed is people in their first year and Auj and Jer are coming up on year two.

There’s various cute questions.

Now the wives are booted so we can see all the dangerous stuff the kids used to do. We discuss Jacob and basically all that is said is “Jacob moved to California”.

Jeremy admits to parties. Molly is asked if she’s single. She’s dating. His name is Joel.

Now they talk about Rocky. Also apparently there was a cowbell to attract the kids.

Now the superfans are tested! Will the superfans be killed for incorrect answers? Prolly not! The winning team gets a mug. So its basically lame. Molly’s team wins.  This was all filler.

Now we’re over 11pm which is irritating since I have work. Made worse that there’s a LOT of commercials.
Questions from the superfans. What is the future of the farm? Jeremy says he and Auj want to move back. Amy says not all of the kids will come back.

Matt loves the marriages the most although the question came from the hostess. Molly may marry on the farm. The hostess is all “WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM YOUR FANS??” – Amy and Matt say the fans inspire them. Jeremy is all there’s no different story. Zach now appreciates fans. Interestingly Molly and Auj don’t answer the question. It feels like the fans had a good time but I personally felt it seems pretty fake.

Review Written by Podge/Rodge groupie

Here is my review of "Little People, Big Questions"

This is going to be short because I'm in the middle of a major project. Rather than go through a he-hash of the show itself, because most of you reading this were interested enough to watch it anyway, I've  thought time to ask questions, guess at possible answers, and leave my own views on the proceedings.

In the beginning (no reference to a bunch of stories written by human strangers) you heard off camera "(Hey) Matt, what's off limits?" Matt: "Nothing!" Right. Sure. No questions about the divorce. No questions about the dividing up of the farm. No questions about business interests (varied throughout), successes (?), failures (definitely some) or about any personal stances taken by any one or more members of the family.

That's fine. I purport two reasons:

1. There were most definitely topics that were off limits. Most of us here do realize that this has not been "real and raw" since maybe the end of Season 3. Matt aka The Master of Spin made sure that only the questions chosen were aired or presented.

2. I wonder if the "superfans" were forced to sign a release, and an agreement about what can be said after departure like every other person who doth step onto Roloff Farms. I did check, and no, they were actually still wearing their shoes, thankfully they did not have to put off their shoes as they are standing upon sacred ground. The other aspect is, the people invited by the Roloffs (I did not learn how this came to be) might well have been chosen as it was know there would be no pointed, delving or personal questions coming from the group invited. Perhaps the number of comments on personal Facebook pages?

The Big MR still knows how to play the crowd, and interjected just enough as to not make his need for attention too obvious. He was well behaved in that regard from past presentations.

Zach has, in my views come miles and miles in onscreen comfort and presence. The Master of Spin has worked his magic on his protege. Well done.

I'm still having problems trying to see Tori as the gold-digging whore she is made out to be by some posters on this blog. The 'people' who put this idea forward must indeed be quite proud of themselves, believe me Tori has the superfans, the entire Roloff family and a vast majority of the viewers and people who can actually think for themselves completely food by the ruse she is perpetuating. I mean, she's got me fooled. The two seem happy, content, dreamy-eyed, head-over-heels in love to me.

The man-bun - Look, It's not my hair, and I'm not married to Audrey. It has been offered in a post on this blog that "perhaps Audrey likes that, Why shouldn't Jeremy do that to if Audrey perhaps likes that look (paraphrased)?" That's fine by me. I just think that a little more work could be put into it, that's all. I work with people who have to tie their hair back for safety reasons. it's clean, its neat, no fly-aways, and they do it because it's company policy. The whole concept of changing something that you do just to satisfy someone else, instead of that someone else being happy with you you are and what you are and vice versa, seems unnecessary and counter productive. If Jeremy would have put half the time into preparation as Audrey did, it would have looked much better.

The announcer was just a wee bit over the top for me. Calm down woman, it's only the Roloffs. Eek.

There was one strange comment/statement by a superfan in speaking with Amy. The fan said after awhile, she was tuning in to see what was happening with the family, because she could relate it to her own family, and that similarity form a kind of bond that made relating to the Roloffs more enjoyable. Amy agreed, saying one of the reasons why they put themselves out there was because whether you're an LP or not, you have the same issues as a family. It makes the distinction and differences non-existent. I guess I was tuning into the show for the wrong reason? My bad. So much for the show's original premise.

Here is a review of the New Episode of Little People, Big World that aired on TLC Tuesday May 10, 2016.

Review written by Rap541

=========================================

Honestly the endless recap of the recap shows is so ridiculous. I gave up last night on the endless redo of the marriages. There’s a sneak peak where Matt is pissed that Amy did donuts in the field…. Really its kinda weird. Also the clips from season one are sad…
So new episode!

Oh look more endless recaps! People are meeting with divorce attorneys. There’s tennis and whale watching. Amy tells Matt to shove it up it his ass, and Matt has health issues.

Credits have vaguely changed in an updated way. We start with Amy and Lisa? Amy is all “I am an empty nester and divorced!” Amy notes how weird it is that they are divorcing but Matt is 100 feet away and will know she’s dating. Lisa basically recommends a lesbian outing of all women where all the girls show up and get crazy.

Meanwhile in Bend. Auj and OfAuj jog in female running panties. OfAuj is all “I’m not a woman even though Auj makes all the decisions”. They make small talk over Jer’s bathroom habits that irritate Auj.

Meanwhile in Portland, Zach and Tory are buying the special ones a gift. They’re going to bring a house warming gift. They’re thrift shopping and Tory notes the Jer/Auj match will drink with new toys.

Matt notes the divorce is finalizing and there’s a lot of assets. Matt is going out tomorrow and Amy is having a “progressive dinner” – which in her description sounds like she’s going to tour her pals around the farm. Matt is all “Amy having fun is all work for me”
Do we all sense the impending doom?

Zach and Tory want to bring the dog to Jer’s place since they are considering Sully their kid. Jer is all “eww dog hair and the dog needs to be isolated in the garage” – Tory is very worried that Auj won’t be cool with the furry dog.

Apparently Zach and Tory will be the first to see the new Bend place. The house seems nice. Jer and Auj try to ignore how irritated they are with the dog barking while locked in the garage.Zach and Tory are pleased that the dog is allowed in the house while Jer notes that his landlord hates dog damage. I see where this is going even before the commercials.

Matt notes how he does all of the work and the family basically is a bunch of useless assholes who make work for him. Amy is  planning the “progressive dinner” which I wish she’d define. Amy just wants to have fun as an empty nester.

Meanwhile back in Bend, Tory makes breakfast and feeds her dog and listens to Auj’s terror at the idea that Tory might want a place on the farm. Jer also expresses to Zach how he will  take over the farm.

Meanwhile Sully has done dog stuff and is shamed. Kids? Seriously? Don’t insist the dog is welcome if your landlord will die over the damage.

Of course the dog who is you know, a dog, scratches stuff. I totally sense, based on the whole tense atmosphere, that Auj and OfAuj weren’t so super cool over it but then there was hiking.

Amy plans her progressive dinner and sleepover. They’re off to the castle to have snack? Amy talks about how she left every thing to marry Matt.

Back in Bend, Jer chooses rockclimbing even tho Zach doesn’t like it. Auj and OfAuj love the rockclimbing. Zach isn’t as fond but does it because he’s basically being shamed on camera.

Back at the castle everyone is smoking the ganja and Amy is all crazy on the mule. I bet Matt will be pissed.

Now in Bend Jer asks about the newlyweds. They all talk about spending. OfAuj is appalled at how Auj isn’t as clean and neat as he is. Tory hates Zach’s cereal bowl issues. Zach and Tory are cute.

At the progressive dinner, the main course is at the fire pit. Amy is enjoying the farm. She also wants a girls retreat.

At Bend, Auj and OfAuj  plan to stay at Bend for a few years. They also want multiple kids. Zach and Tory want kids. OfAuj is worried about the farm.

Since rumor has it that Molly and Jacob and Isobel were around for the Bend trip, I am amused at how they were cut. Molly especially since she’s not the bad sibling.

Now Amy’s dinner group is having dessert in the barn! Amy is still awed that her friends showed up, which is kinda sad and I feel for her. Next day, Matt is all about bitching over donuts that if OfAuj had made them, he’d be all “OMG my boy is a man!”. Matt turns this into “I had no idea a party meant damage” – Amy is all “I’m open but I am not simply saying yes to everything”.

In upcoming events look, Auj is now at the farm doing stuff while Matt and Amy argue. I wonder who wants the farm!

*Plus points for anyone who understands why I am calling Jeremy “OfAuj” :D

Here is a review of the New Episode of Little People, Big World featuring the Roloffs, which aired Tuesday May 17, 2016 on TLC.

==========================================

Review Written By Rap 541

You know, Auj and Jer are such hipsters, and Matt loves projects so, why aren’t these two new marrieds having Daddy Matt build them a *tiny house*? Tiny houses are all the rage, so cute and hip and sure to get some notice from other networks… I bet now that I have mentioned it, Matt will have the kids living with their own composting toilets. Also don’t be fooled, the sneak peaks are from the upcoming episode.

Also RadarOnline is reporting the divorce is final. Who will date first???

So this is about pumpkin season. Credits have changed again. Amy chases her dog, Felix. Amy is all “I’m sad but empowered and I have a rescue dog!” She thinks her current relationship with Matt is “all business”.

Matt is on the Atv with his lil dog. He is loaded into the track hoe for stuff.

Now we’re in Bend. Jeremy and Auj are heading to the farm since pumpkin season is three weeks away and they don’t have jobs. It’s raining as they drive and as Jeremy intones wisely on how he and Auj’s plans are absolutely that they will take over the farm.

Tory is heading to school and Zach is making stuff and heading over to the farm. Tory btw does seem to work. Zach heads to the farm, where Jeremy and Auj aren’t there yet. Amy is all its stressful. Matt notes how he’s completely challenged. Auj’s outfit is hilarious.

Matt wants safe, clean, affordable fun.  He also wants to blow away every record. However since all records are kept by Matt…. Zach wants to do goldpanning. Jeremy admits he’s never actually done a tour, that all he did is drive tractors. Amy wants to do kiddie stuff. She wants to do a seed spitting contest. Auj notes there is huge tension.

They were open 18 or 15 years ago, no one seems to know. Jeremy notes how he was on the farm while Auj was not.

Btw commercial breaks are lengthy.

Jer loves being on the farm and wants to chat up Zach and Tory. There’s reminiscing about Bend. There’s talk of kids. No one but Zach is anxious for kids. The twins are both “wow this is a lot of work!” which is interesting. Now a monologue of Jeremy noting how he WANTS the farm and the divorce might screw that up.

Jeremy wants to do a project. Matt adores it! Matt basically says if Jeremy wants it, then yay.

Amy meanwhile wants to do crafts. Tory wants it to be random and open. Zach is doing “gold panning” in a trench.

FIVE DAYS TILL PUMPKIN SEASON! Amy is all “we might sell it all off”. Matt and Amy meet over the salsa offerings. In theory its doing really well but Matt worries about the investment. Matt wants to order a lot of salsa.

So they are doing a project called the “rail roller” and Jeremy is cutting and Matt implies its not working but it does. Oh look Zach and Tory praying before eating. Zach isn’t fond of crowds but is willing to try.

Two days until opening. Jeremy has made the Rail Roller. I don’t get how it is fun, to be honest, but then I also think the gold panning thing is kinda dumb…

One day until opening! There’s teepees, and Amy is all “our 26 year old sons are finally getting how much work this is”. Matt notes how painting shit isn’t happening because Amy is dumb.  Amy notes that she owns some part of the farm.

So basically there’s an arts and crafts tent. There's pumpkin decorating and Auj notes how someday SHE WILL HAVE A LARGER ROLE! BEWARE! KHALEESI IS COMING TO WESTEROS! Oh course Jer’s tube thing is deemed a total success with no actual critical comment but Jer and Auj.

And of course the gold panning thing is depicted as getting too crazy.

After commercial, Caryn gives quick advice and Zach is all confident now.

Now we have Jer and Auj actually giving a tour instead of driving a tractor. They’re pretty much clueless. Jer is also holding a coffee, and Auj reiterates how they plan to take over the farm eventually.

Caryn runs in to Matt’s office to note the salsa isn’t moving. Amy is called by Matt to deal with the “salsa problem”.  Matt vaguely tells Amy to sell more salsa.

There’s a commercial for thanksgiving where Amy tells someone to shove it up something.

Btw for the record, I find it *hilarious* that the first time Big Boy Jer the Awesome ever did an actual pumpkin tour as the host is when he’s 25 and married. Guess I was right when I noted how Jeremy was allowed to hide from the crowds by driving the tractor and not interacting. Anyone who wants to gripe.. please do note he’s admitting he’s 25 and doing his first tour NOT EVEN BY HIMSELF.

Amy tries to sell the pumpkin salsa by dressing up as a bee. Matt and Amy have a moment over the salsa. Now they’re pitching all the visitors out. Matt is pleased his two 25 year old sons actually worked for once. Now Jer and Auj leave and Matt and Amy don’t mention Zach and Tory leaving.

Next up the horror of thanksgiving.

REVIEW WRITTEN BY PODGE/RODGE GROUPIE

Review of “Seeds of Change”

Before we start on the ‘new’ episode, a few notes on ‘Episode 12’. This is becoming a popular tactic used by TLC, The History Channel et al. The last week’s ‘content’ is re-run, with about 7 minutes of what I think is called B Roll, the stuff that didn’t make it onto the first airing. In old metaphor, the TLC editors get sore backs picking up all the 35mm B Roll off the cutting room floor (under the direction of the Executive Producers?) however I’m sure we have not seen the last of the filming of these episodes. I didn’t mind it really in the last couple of seasons, but there doesn’t seem to be too much new here. Or much about some halfway compelling information that is worthy of attention.

On to tonight’s offering. Why they replayed the horribly staged doughnut caper, the conflicts, and the overuse of the word ‘dynamic’ by Jeremy is beyond me. More mileage I suppose. In the new opening, Jeremy is photo’d holding a glass of wine. It might be better to change that. “We’re the Roloffs, and out story goes on” Yeah, ad nauseum. Amy haybales and walks Felix, noted as a ‘rescue dog’ Uh, OK. Despsite any training Felix might have, he’s built a little too close to the ground to save Any from, say, the Cascadian Subduction Zone quake and tsunami, but if she feels safe, who are we to question? She feels it’s tough, but she is empowered. She also wonders how they are going to make this work. Well Amy, as I’ve stated before both you and Matt are self-centered, stubborn people who could not care less about each other except for their own agenda, and should not have been married in the first place and don’t derserve to be married now. But hey, knock yourselves out, I’m sure you’ll let us know how it goes. Yay.

Let’s go to Bend. I’m uneasy about statements from Audrey that they moved to be “closer to our inheritance”, and Jeremy saying he can more easily “help” and they will learn about “taking over the farm” and how they will formulate “our plan”. It seems a bit vulture-isk to me. This is also starting a conflict I will get into later. I see no reason why Special Jer has to ask his wife if she packed her toothbrush. On national TV.

Let’s go to Portland. If we remember last week’s episode, we get to see Zach’s ‘process’ for getting a bowl to have some cereal. Nothing about rinsing and putting it in the left sink. A bit of a letdown. His wife appears, after preparing for a WORK day. Something bothers me here about the ‘process’. Why can’t a couple dishes, cups, bowls, plates, be put in the lower shelf to make access easy for Zach. There is no rule that dishes MUST go in the upper cupboard. Besides, if Zach is emptying the dishwasher, it would be easy for him to put just a couple of dishes in the lower shelf for himself to access easily. He doesn’t watt to remove all the dishes from the dishwasher, as it gives him a nice opportunity to check out his wife’s butt. Zach mentions how the farm is a ton of work, and takes a ton of money, and mom and dad can just as easily sell and retire, but Special Jer and Zach must help to keep the farm in the family.

The meeting. For goodness sake, the staged phone call to Special Jer because they have not arrived yet? The actor’s craft is still lost on these people. They arrive, and Auj’s dress reminded me of Archie Bunker’s first view of his daughter in a miniskirt. “Jeez, if it were any higher it’s be a scarf!” I enjoyed Matt’s emphasis on safety, yeah Matt after you settled put of court on a million dollar lawsuit. The family which apparently is just the twins will be helping more and taking a bigger role. Zach pipes up to volunteer for gold panning. Amy just has to step up at the end of the meeting. Just has to. Matt was not impressed, and we can’t imagine why. Special Jer is so far out the door that his “Let’s go to work” must be a voiceover, and a funny one at that!

Let’s take a break here to discuss the ridiculous notion that TLC is a christian channel. I’m referring to adverts for “Sister Wives” and “I am Jazz” both chock-block full of faith and family values.

The kids chat in the are where the pumpkins are stacked. Zach notes that he’s 26 already and it’s time to help more often. OK. Mom and dad being business partners causes notable tension. By the way, where and when did the arrangement rear its ugly head? Further, if the divorce is final, don’t the assets have to be accurately noted and clearly titled to the owner or owners? We know Amy was never this involved before. Yet, she says after all it’s partly my farm. It has ALWAYS been partly your farm, dearie. Is she protecting her share of the assets? And if so, how are the assets divided?

Amy has an idea about a craft table or craft area for kids. Myself, why not? She was an assistant at a pre-school, no? More later. Zach has ideas about the gold panning. I enjoyed his lines that it’s fun work and he had suggestions for his dad and his dad was actually listening!! At 5 days prior, Amy mentions that they like each other enough to be business partners. What? In who’s fantasy world? Mind you, they did agree on the salsa production, as it will be a high margin money-maker.

Much false drama was made over cutting a piece of drainage pipe for a Special Jer project, enough already. My wonderment why Matt has yet to get one of his crutches rammed down his throat just to shut the arrogant micro-manager up is starting to wane. Zach and Tori discuss the confidence she has given him. This was mentioned more than once in this episode, later at the gold panning trough. I hope that they don’t milk this too much and destroy the message, but with the Executive Producers having their say, we’ll get sick of hearing this, I’m afraid. And by the way, it was mentioned when Zach and Tori went out for dinner that the real reason Zach always charges to the front of the crowd is, he can’t see! If they walk into a crowded theater lobby or restaurant waiting are, all Zach can see is people’s backsides. Nice view.

Pumpkin Season!! And……….Amy is late. Late to open the craft tent and area. Late to her own pop-up restaurant a few seasons ago. Late to get in the van to drive to the airport. Late. Late. I’ve mentioned before people with the compulsion to be late. She has always been late, but she tells Matt to “shove it up your ass” when comes over to The House That MR Built for Thanksgiving dinner. That joke will be next week.

Special Jer is quite happy with his idea, but I’ve never heard the expression that it’s a good “industrial” “Farm” “Thing” to do. What the Hell is he talking about? It’s just a silly choice of words to sound somewhat special. Please. Zach mentions during the panning trough painting discussion that mom and dad really know how to push each others buttons. They’re in it for the money, Zach. And they just can’t help themselves. No other reason is feasible. The craft area was good because Amy and Tori genuinely enjoy children and the kids like them. The Special Jer/Auj tour was a bit odd, for all the time Jeremy has heard the tour script over the years, he sure didn’t pick up any of it. And this “hope to run it” idea is unnerving.

The salsa crisis. I laughed when Amy said, “Well, I’m down here at the pumpkin thing” What? You don’t even know where you are? You are so drastically trying to convince the world you actually have something to say and you can’t articulate your location? Goodness gracious.
Anyway, the bee idea seemed good, what with the pesticide and GMO driven destruction of the honey bee and their importance to the food chain, and also the photo ops that came from it along with the attention brought to the pavilion. Then the meeting after the final day. What a quick pumpkin season!!!! Hey, I wonder if we’ll see any B Roll coming up in future episodes? Everybody weighed in. Everybody was happy. They must make a whole pile of money from 5800 guests, 2-1/2 days a week in October to support the farm. I don’t think the twins have a chance.

What am I saying! The twins? Not ONLY Special Jer?. There was a bit of conflict, I feel, over the separate agendas given in this episode. Zach said he needs to work many more hours on the farm to make it viable. But Jeremy thinks he taking it over completely. How is this “dynamic” going to work? Will Jer be given everything, and Zach will be an employee and “just like a nigger” to Special Jer? I do not think there is enough there. Not in intelligence, not in talent, and not in ambition. Doomed.

My friends, God called on me to write this article.

Even before my self-imposed exile from this Blog (Thank you for all of you who emailed their support and wishes for my return - you can email me at bailey.anne83@hotmail.com) an issue that often is mentioned on this blog has bothered me.

However, recent events have escalated this issue's importance and earlier today I followed Audrey Roloff's brilliant speech at the Cultivate Conference at SandalsChurch in Californiahosted by the wonderful and talented Lisa Bevere. Then I read some comments. Comments which bothered me. I actually had made the choice to go to bed for the night, but as I lay there thinking about the issue, God called on me to get up and write an article to say what needs to be said.

Audrey and Jeremy Roloff are true followers of Jesus Christ who let Jesus use them to inspire others to Build God's Kingdom. I am sure all of you know to follow the Beating50Percent Website and Audrey Roloff's twitter and Instagram and Jeremy's twitterand Instagram.

Their Beating50percent is wonderful in their goal to inspire and to be a resource of married couples who have covenant marriages.

Their website is filled with resources and personal wisdom, at times making themselves vulnerable for the greater good of inspiring others to have a stronger desire for a better marriage to serve God.

It is filled with positivity and love.

Yet one thing keeps on coming up, no matter how outnumbered they might be, there's always one or two or three or four comments every few articles.

Homosexuals and members of the gay agenda who decide to hate on Christians, in this case Audrey and Jeremy and their followers.

They actually have accused Jeremy and Audrey of being hateful and bigoted all because they have a website aimed at covenant marriages.

Can you even comprehend that? They were not even speaking ill of the gay marriage and the gay agendas and they were still attacked and insulted for not catering to the gays. They were criticized by these people for not providing dating ideas for two men.

Two devoted Christians cannot even have their own site devoted to Christian marriage that gives glory to Jesus Christ without being called hateful and bigots because they are not talking about gay marriage or gay dating ideas.

It prompted Audrey to courageously write the following response to those who were attacking her and Jeremy on their own blog about covenant marriages for writing about marriages who aim to center around Christ.

Audrey Roloff says
APRIL 7, 2016 AT 11:50 AM

We are not claiming to be a resource for same sex marriages. Maybe you could start a resource for that if it something you are passionate about. it is not something we agree with, however we invite same-sex marriages to read our content, and would home that they wouldn’t see our blog for what it is against, but rather what it is “for.” For us, we are FOR opposite-sex marriages that are striving to give more than average to their marriages. To live out the covenant of marriage every day, and to center their marriage around Christ. That being said, know that our content is not written to same-sex marriages, so to say that we don’t offer advice for that side is accurate.

Audrey is then attacked for that eloquent response by being called names.

bigots says
APRIL 7, 2016 AT 12:29 PM

not surprising audrey Given jeremy has been caught making homophobic and racist comments in the past (google it everyone). id like to see You look a gay person in the face and tell them you think they dont have the same basic human rights you have. you and your husband are bigots and i for one will not be watching lpbw to avoid your smug faces. and newsflash ditch the red lipstick because it aint Flattering on you. if you had any gay friends they would have told you that long ago!

A frequent commenter to this blog then joins in with the ignorant name calling of Audrey:

Rap541 Said...

So now she's confirmed she's a bigot :) And Jeremy, since she said "we".

They think they have a right to call Audrey names and label her a bigot simply because she is a Christian who believes the word of Christ and believes marriage is between a man and a woman.

Then the attacks continue on Audrey's blog.

katetallica
Never thought about the fact that both he & Audrey won't come out and directly state their anti gay/hateful views BC they need to make that $$$$. I mean, after all they don't have "real jobs" other than writing poorly worded blogs that borderline don't make any sense about beating 50 percent. Incredibly sad how close minded you are. Thank you hampton7 for pointing out that they are just as concerned about money as the producers of the show. Jesus would love all people despite their sexual orientation. I find it cowardly you won't state your views on this subject directly, esp bc a lot of the people who watch the show are gay/bi/trans/whatever makes them happy. No longer a fan BC of your close mindedness. #lovewins

audreyroloff
@katetallica wow. I hope you don't believe that or mean it. Our intent is never to hurt or attack, yet you choose to hurt and attack us? We are just standing for what we believe and sharing our perspective. You can do the same, but do you have to be so rash?

Read what Audrey said friends. They are standing for what they believe as Christian yet they are being called names and attacked for being "close minded".

The latest example of that was Audrey and other wonderful ladies who are inspiring other Christian woman to be what God calls them to be who spoke at the Cultivate Conference with Lisa Bevere.

audreyroloff

audreyroloff

What an honor to speak alongside this woman at Cultivate Conference. She has such wisdom, passion, ruthlessness, and firey determination to see women become the women God calls them to be. To be women full of fearlessness and wonder, not fearful and wandering. "I believe that the attacks on your life have much more to do with who you might be in the future than who you have been in the past....God is not looking for people who act like Christians. He wants us to be Christians! The word Christian means “anointed or Christlike one.” Jesus did not go around “being good”; he went around “doing good” and releasing all who were oppressed. What has he anointed you to do?" - @lisabevere
#cultivatekindness #lionessarising#sandalschurch #cultivatewomen#fightlikeagirl #girlswithswords

Yet instead of celebrating people inspiring others to be what Christ calls them to be, I read comments like this, attempting to slander Lisa and Audrey by her association all because they support Biblical marriage that is between one man and one woman.

It is even said in a manner which insinuates something is bad about it!

 Dustin said...
Do Some research people.
Audrey Roloff is speaking at a Christian women's conference.
Who is organizing the conference? Lisa Bevere.
Who is Lisa Bevere's husband? John Bevere.
Guess what organization John Bevere is apart of? Family Research Council
Sound familiar? They made headlines:
A) For being declared a hate group against gay people.
B) For naming Josh Duggar as their executive director in 2013.
It's interesting how all of these TLC Christian personalities are connected.

We as Christians have to stand up to these attacks and stand up for other Christians who are being attacked for promoting Christian values.

Society is and will continue to become a very scary place for people of faith where Christian's religious liberties are being prosecuted and it should even concern people who do not consider themselves to be Christian.

And yes, I will use the controversial Jacob Roloff, Jeremy's 18 year old younger brother, as the example. Many of you who have followed his actions on social media, are aware that in the past he publicly bashed Christianity and the beliefs of Christians. We will not soon forget his mocking attacks on his own sister-inlaw when Audrey thanked God for providing her with a beautiful and sunny wedding day (when the "experts" were predicting rain all day).

When Jacob was asked about Audrey's thankfulness towards God for the gorgeous weather he responded by calling people who do so "dumb" and "Yea! Nothing to do with nature! Haha f*ck meteorology".

After Christians such as myself spoke out against Jacob's nasty and uncalled for attacks against Audrey and Christians who are not ashamed to thank God for the blessings in their lives even when they are ridiculed for it, Jacob dialed back on the attacks against Christians.
Jacob went on to call "Atheists" stupid and his girlfriend, Isabel, has been seen tweeting and retweeting Bible verses.

Where Jacob stands today is unknown (one can pray and hope that Jacob has, at least privately, issued Audrey a heartfelt apology that she so richly deserves), but it can't be debated that given the overall content on his twitter, that Jacob has fallen victim to the pressure of the modern culture who is constantly pushing people to hold liberal views or else be declared a bigot.

Therefore, I think it is a fair statement to describe Jacob Roloff's social media presence as trying to portray himself as "progressive" to impress the liberals he often retweets.

Regarding gay marriage, in the past he has fallen into that trap of trying to appeal to the liberal agenda and tweeted sentiments such as 'Why is gay marriage still an issue'?

Yet, people such as Jacob Roloff, who think they are cool and hip for presenting themselves as "cool with gay marriage" need to think of the consequences for society accepting these immoral behaviors.

During his last year in public high school, Jacob Roloff was subjected to unwanted comments from a homosexual student who publicly said he found Jacob to be "attractive". When Jacob responded in a perfectly reasonable manner; to declare that he did not want any gay boy that finds him attractive coming near him and he has no interest in being friends with homosexual males, Jacob was then subjected to calls of "homophobic" and "bigot".

The point of the story is people like Jacob Roloff who cave to the pressure of liberal culture and want to be seen as "progressive" must realize the consequences of not standing up against issues such as gay marriage and issues which would allow gay behavior to be acceptable in modern day life. It is a slippery slope.

Jeremy and Audrey Roloff have a wonderful Blog focused on helping people have strong and healthy covenant marriages that are focused around Jesus Christ. A Christian couple doing good work in the name of God. Yet they are consistently subjected to comments calling them bigots because they don't talk about homosexual relationships as they do when they provide resources for Christ-centered marriages.

It further is disturbing when there are people lurking out there waiting in the weeds to paint it is some sort of scandal when they find out that Jeremy and Audrey Roloff support, are friends with, speak with, other Christian personalities and Pastors who have also been subjected to hateful name calling for standing for the word of God in the Bible and for refusing to accept homosexual activists insisting that all declare that gay marriage or gays in the military or in the boy scouts or adopting children, as O.K and acceptable. When Christians like John and Lisa Bevere and other members of the Family Research Council stand for Christian beliefs they are insulted and declared bigots and hateful!

We, as a society, must unite and stand up against these "Ah-ha, Gotcha!" mentalities which imply there is something wrong or shocking when public Christian personalities do not support the gay agenda and stand with the Scripture and will not condone or accept gay marriage.

We have to end this mentality of it being seen as shocking or bad when Christians do not support the homosexual agenda. The attacks and name calling must stop.

Audrey Roloff delivers a wonderful speech for Christian women of faith. It should be celebrated for the positivity that it inspires. Yet some people attack and jump in with

>Lisa Bevere hosted the conference
> Audrey supports Lisa
> John and Lisa Bevere support the Family Research Council
> the Family Research Council stands against the homosexual agenda
> therefore let's call Jeremy and Audrey Roloff hateful bigots!

I hope everyone recognizes the problem with this kind of mentality. We must stand up when Christians are attacked in this unfair manner and support them. It is an attack on our religious liberty as Christians.

Since Dustin brought it up, let's talk about John and Lisa Bevere. As Audrey said, they are wonderful people doing great work in the name of the Lord.

Here is something everyone should read from John Bevere. I will use excerpts from John Bevere's article, I encourage you to read the entire article yourself:

By John Bevere

The Bible's teaching on human sexuality is clear: The only kind of sexual intimacy Scripture countenances exists between one man and one woman, within marriage. This teaching is restrictive, limiting, narrow. It also possesses the singular advantage of being accurate, in the sense of being a faithful representation of what the Bible says.
One need not agree with the Bible to acknowledge its clear teaching. Regarding efforts to diminish the Bible's teachings about homosexuality, specifically, former Benedictine monk Luke Timothy Johnson, now of EmoryUniversity, writes, "I have little patience with efforts to make Scripture say something other than what it says, through appeals to linguistic or cultural subtleties. The exegetical situation is straightforward: we know what the text says."
Our acceptance of these tenets is not merely intellectual. I affirm that the street outside my office is paved with black asphalt: This is the recognition of an obvious external reality, but one that does not animate my convictions about the purpose of life or the means by which I should live it. Unlike mere intellectual assent, since we believe our moral standards are issued by a God with Whom we have a relationship, and to Whom we owe our core allegiance, we cannot keep them neatly confined to the space within our crania. In other words, we are obligated by our Creator not just to acknowledge the correctness of what He has said but to live accordingly.

That means we reject homosexual behavior as morally acceptable. It means we also reject the numerous heterosexual sins as well, including sexual infidelity to a spouse and intercourse before marriage. We also affirm that marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman, for life—and that this definition is unchanging.
I know of no conservatives who wish to disrupt homosexual homes. We don't want to be invasive any more than we want to be coerced ourselves. But we reject the redefinition of marriage on theological grounds, as well as on a surfeit of sociological data showing that children benefit most by being raised by a mother and a father.
This is not bigotry. It is not hatred. It is not homophobia. It is, to quote one of my pastors, theophobia. We fear God, and thus we submit to what we believe is His revealed will. No one is requiring any homosexual to do anything. Catholics, Protestants and Jews who believe biblical morality is absolute and final are being asked to treat homosexuality as morally neutral behavior. Yet we do not believe it is, and thus cannot countenance its widespread social or legal acceptance any more than we accept heterosexual cohabitation.

We simply believe that sexual intimacy is reserved by God for heterosexual, monogamous marriage. That's inconvenient and difficult for many of us, heterosexual and homosexual. It's also what we believe the Word of God says. Therefore, for us it is determinative of not just belief but also practice.

Homosexual activists seek to shut down those who believe their behavior is immoral. Raise a moral concern about homosexuality and immediately accusations of bigotry and hatred are showered upon you. The outraged viciousness of the response is commensurate with the intensity of one's allegiance to full cultural and legal affirmation of homosexuality. Since traditional believers won't change on this point, efforts are made to bully us into silence or reserve our beliefs for our homes and the four walls of our houses of worship. We are called names, are threatened in late-night phone calls, or, in the case of my colleagues and I at the Family Research Council, we become the intended targets of a would-be assassin's bullets, as last summer's shooting at our building demonstrates.

Persons of biblical faith—who believe the Bible says what it means and look to it as the source of truth, not just comfort—have no alternative but to stand with Scripture. For this, we are accused of a lack of love. Nonsense: There can be nothing more unloving, or more cowardly, than ignoring a train as it is about to strike someone on its tracks. If we warn against the consequences of sexual sin, whether heterosexual or homosexual, we do so not with self-righteous condemnation but sincere concern for those wrestling with such sins.
The homosexual left insists that everyone endorse same-sex relationships as morally and legally valid. We will not. They want to redefine marriage. We refuse. They want homosexuality to be affirmed universally as morally good or at least morally neutral. We cannot. They want full and affirming integration into every social institution, whether it be the military or the Boy scouts or, for that matter, churches of all kinds. We cannot support it.
This is not hate. It's moral conviction. It will not change.
Here we stand. We can do no other. God help us. Amen.
By John Bevere

That was brilliantly worded by John Bevere.

And it particularly pertains perfectly to the unfair attacks that Audrey and Jeremy Roloff have been subjected to merely because they are followers of Christ who cannot support same sex relationships.

This is an example of religious freedom being under attack. Jeremy and Audrey cannot even maintain a resource for Christian marriage without being assaulted with terms like "homophobic", "hateful", "bigot" and "close minded".

I hope everyone recognizes the problem with this kind of mentality. We must stand up when Christians are attacked in this unfair manner and support them. It is an attack on our religious liberty as Christians.

New Little People, Big World Episode May 24th, 2016 on TLC

These are the reviews for the new episode featuring the Roloff family which aired on TLC on Tuesday May 24, 2016

---------------------------------------------------

Review Written By Rap541

In case you care about the bonus scenes – apparently they really did do the seed spitting event. And Molly skyped with mom. I was too in thrall over Audrey’s slutty shorts (seriously, I think all the Duggar boys would be eyes down while the Duggar sisters screeched “NIKE!”  and pointed at Audrey’s on display thigh gap) to really care.

It’s Thanksgiving… or is it? I have a really huge sense that this episode is very staged. Also in advance, I am sure its difficult to deal with a divorce but considering how everyone is an adult, the dramatics are sad.

Two weeks before thanksgiving! Tory and Zach are decorating for the holiday. They put up autumn stuff. Zach wants dinner at both places and Tory is like “I want to see my family too” and Zach is like “ok,  sure althought MY MOM IS DIVORCING!” Tory suggests that Amy come to the Patton dinner.

In hipster bend, the hispters marrieds eat baked stuff and Audrey wants to do thanksgiving with her family. Jeremy suggests they invite BOTH Matt and Amy to Audrey’s parents… Audrey looks faintly horrified but is all “ok”.

I bet everyone ends up at the big house on the farm.

Zach drops the bomb about the holiday on Amy. Amy is all horrified since no family is coming is coming. Molly is skipping the holiday, and there’s no mention of Jacob. Again, even without the clips in the commercials, its obvious where this is going.

Zach heads to Matt’s place which is surprisingly not as neat as a pin. Matt is horrified that Zach isn’t coming to Thanksgiving on the farm. Matt seems to equate this with the divorce which is odd since this is really about the marriage. Matt is all “DON’T WORRY ABOUT ME BUT I AM HURT”. This also feels very staged.

Matt and the new dog sit in the office. Matt is of course bummed that he’s being left alone for the holiday because when he initiates a divorce and his kids marry, he’s the one who needs to have his needs tended. He arranges a dog date with Amy.  The dogs are cute. Matt is all “are you ok with this travesty of a holiday?” Amy attempts to be cool but is sad. Matt is appalled that the kids now have other families and Matt isn’t the center of the universe. Amy seems to cope better. Matt whines and then haybales to the audience how *Amy* is in denial over all the pain. Meanwhile he’s the one devastated by the lack of attention.

Amy hangs with Lisa in a homeless shelter and tries to make the best of it. Apparently none of the kids are coming home for the holiday. Lisa has asked Amy over. Amy is all “this is by myself”. Amy then butchers the names of cheeses.

Then homeless people get a nice meal. This is nice. There’s some cute stuff with Amy and little kids who are all amazed at her size. Amy empathizes with a homeless woman who is divorced.

It’s the day  before Thanksgiving and the two married couples are confabing over what mom and dad are doing. Audrey leads the charge with “Does anyone know where Matt and Amy are going??” which is kinda asshole if its actually real because if people invite you to a holiday, you’re supposed to rsvp. Basically – and we’re supposed to think the show has no influence on this – they all decide to have Thanksgiving on the farm…. Because Mom and Dad clearly have made no plans. They call Matt and Matt is all “THAT’S GREAT” and this feels totally fake. Amy is pleased and not appalled at all that she now has to make a large dinner on short notice because this isn’t fake at all.

Matt drives his dog over to the farm and complains about his ability to climb steps to Amy.

Matt is pleased about dinner but wants to know the time of dinner. He mocks her over timing. Oh I sense an argument. The inlaws are coming. Oh yeah this feels staged. Matt hauls up the divorce. They both want it done.  This is all very bitter.

One day before thanksgiving.  Matt is ordering the kids around because now the inlaws are coming so the event is going to be a huge extravaganza of games. They’re setting up some game. In one of the barns.

The marrieds show up at the house and Jer and Auj are gonna cook from youtube videos. Because this isn’t staged at all! Jeremy notes how he was never expected to learn to cook. Auj thinks they put the head in the turkey. Its funny but sad. Auj mistakes the neck for the turkey weiner and then the head. They then stuff vegetables into the turkey. There’s no foil so we have a staged scene at 11:30am to get foil. Matt is a cheerful dick about it. I find it interesting that Amy is “thankful for all of you” over two of four kids showing up. But wait! There’s a surprise for Amy at the door! Because this isn’t staged!
It’s…. Molly!

Molly didn’t want to come down but the show needed an event so… Molly is immediately put to work. Tory and her parents show up at 5:40. Matt harps on how the new boyfriend didn’t come. He greets the Pattons and the Bottis.

Then 6:30. Matt is sitting at the table by himself because dinner was at 6:30 and now he’s waiting on his dinner as dinner at 6:30! Amy tells him to shove it up his ass and is pissed. Matt smugs to the camera how Amy is ALWAYS LATE and he needs to be a giant ASS in order to show the guests how AMY is late.

So here’s the thing. If Matt keeps playing games like this, when the show dries up, he’s going to be looking around wondering where the kids are. Because it’s going to be easier to go over to the Pattons and the Bottis rather than try to have a nice dinner with the direct family since Matt can’t let a holiday dinner go without making sure to be an ass to his ex.

Matt continues to sit at the table. Amy regrets the shove it up her ass remark. Matt then realizes he was a total dick and apologizes but doesn’t since he couldn’t help himself. And now we have pumpkin bowling. Molly is all “yeah, dad always does something like this”
Basically they’re whipping pumpkins at glass bottles and breaking the bottles. Everyone plays because its kinda required since the cameras are there and Matt makes sure to wrap it all up with how he’s thankful despite Amy being a bitch.

This was super staged and I totally get why Amy agreed to the divorce.

Radar Online Reaches Out to Audrey & Jeremy Roloff For Comment Regarding Praise Of Anti Gay Activists

The well known and popular Celebrity News Site, Radar Online, has picked up on the story of Audrey and Jeremy Roloff's recent connection and praise of Christian Pastors who are known for their outspoken activism against gay rights (gay marriage, gay parents adopting, gays in the military, gays as boy scout leaders).

Radar Online says in their story that they have reached out to Audrey Roloff, but so far, she has declined to comment further.

The Roloffs Christian nature and opposition to gay rights have long been talked about and speculated. Jeremy and Audrey Roloff often quote John Mark Comer, a Christian Pastor, who has made controversial statements advising that gay people are broken inside, however, they can be cured by praying to Jesus.

However, although the Roloffs have always been connected to anti-gay people and organizations, they in the past have always avoided actually stating their beliefs publicly.

It is well known that Molly Roloff, on her Facebook page to her friends, once praised Kirk Cameron for his controversial comments on CNN years ago when he called gay people destructive towards civilization. Yet Molly, like the rest of the Roloffs, avoid saying anything publicly.

Some have accused the Roloffs of being cowardly in that they won't proudly state their beliefs because they are afraid that if their beliefs are known it might cost them some viewers, and in turn, money.
Some of have said they should be more like Kirk Cameron, and proudly stand behind their beliefs no matter the consequences.

The original goal of the television series Little People, Big World, was to advocate for diversity and acceptance of differences.

As Radar Online notes, on their Beating50Percent.com website, Audrey and Jeremy recently, in response to criticisms, finally stated that they do not agree with same sex relationships.

Jeremy and Audrey Roloff In the News For Saying They Do Not Agree With Gay Marriage -- Are they back-tracking?

$

In recent days, the Roloffs have been catching the attention of some popular Celebrity News Sites, namely radaronline.com .

The Roloff family have been making headlines because RadarOnline has been reporting comments the Roloffs have made which indicate that they do not agree with same sex marriage and that they have supported Kirk Cameron's controversial comments he made on CNN several years ago in which Kirk Cameron said homosexuality is "detrimental and destructive" to civilization".

http://radaronline.com/celebrity-news/little-people-big-world-gay-scandal-audrey-roloff-allegedly-slams-fans/

http://radaronline.com/celebrity-news/little-people-big-world-gay-scandal-molly-roloff-defended-kirk-cameron-hateful-comments/

For people who follow the Roloffs closely, the Roloffs strong Christian beliefs and opposition to gay rights is not a surprise.

The Roloffs have a history of linking or being connected to organizations and or people who strongly oppose "gay rights". When Amy Roloff very first created her website, she included a link to the notorious anti gay "Focus On The Family".

After it generated a few negative comments and as Amy was trying to sell herself as a Public Speaker for Diversity, Amy removed the link.

Some of their friends, many of whom are Pastors, are very outspoken about their opposition to gay marriage, so it does not come as a surprise to those who have been following the Roloffs closely that they do not agree with gay marriage.

However, the extreme Christian views of the Roloffs have always been downplayed on their TV series on TLC 'Little People, Big World'. It was always mentioned that the Roloffs kids went to a private Christian school and occasionally there would be a scene of them saying a prayer before a meal, but for the most part, the religious aspect of the Roloffs is minimized on the show.

Many fans of the show and of the Roloffs, assumed the Roloffs have a progressive view on issues such as gay marriage since they have spoken about the struggles of being different.

The original purpose of the Roloff show "Little Peopple, Big World" was to teach diversity and acceptance of differences. Both Matt and Amy Roloff are paid public speakers who have spoken as Diversity advocates.

In 2011, Amy described one of her speaking engagements like this:
"That talk will be about how to really accept yourself and believe about yourself when you are different or have a disability. Really embracing yourself so you can incorporate yourself among the forest. I call it being the individual tree among the forest."  - Amy Roloff

The Roloffs have been paid by Diversity organizations who preach for equality in all aspects of life, to give speeches at events. In this 2011 event, Amy was paid to give a speech about bias in language

http://blog.oregonlive.com/my-vancouver/2011/11/listen_can_you_recognize_bias.html

The event was described as:"Amy Roloff will be speaking about disability biases as well as biases in general. During the program, members of Alpha Sigma Phi will narrate readings related to biases including appearance, race, disability, gender, sexual orientation, and education."

So the issue that has always bothered some people who are aware of the Roloffs Christian beliefs and opposition to or support for organizations and people who oppose gay rights, have been transparency.

Most agree that the Roloffs have a right to "not agree with same sex marriage", but what people find very dishonest and deceitful is when that aspect of the Roloffs beliefs is not well known and they present themselves as "Diversity Advocates" and actually get paid by events who are fighting against discrimination.

Would an equality event have hired a Roloff to be a speaker if they knew the Roloffs privately don't believe gay people have the same rights as they do?

Would the show "Little People, Big World" lose some viewers if fans of the show who assumed the Roloffs support all aspects of diversity, oppose and are friends with people connected to organizations who actively advocate against gay rights?

Many have often said that is why the Roloffs keep it on the down low and that was the explanation of  why the Roloffs didn't go around blurting out that they oppose gay marriage -- because people argued the Roloffs care about money and might have been concerned with putting viewership of the show in jeopardy or risk losing out on those lucrative Diversity Speaking fees.

That's why it was such a shock to some when Audrey Roloff actually admitted what people said all along - That "it (same sex relationships) is not something that we agree with" -- because the Roloffs have been very careful over the years to not make statements which shine light on their beliefs.

That has always been the issue. That the Roloffs should be transparent about their beliefs so people know where they stand instead of being able to fool people who wrongly assume that because they are famous from a show about accepting diversity that they would be accepting of other groups such as the LGBT community.

And if they don't - make it known so that staunch Christian fans can support them just like some do with another TLC reality TV Christian Family The Duggars or the cast of Duck Dynasty.

That is why this past week has been so monumental. RadarOnline has really brought attention and blown the doors off this rather little known aspect of the Roloff family by casual fans.

RadarOnline carried multiple stories about the Roloffs anti-gay history.

Then a few other sites, jumped on the back of Radar Online's reporting with articles of their own.

http://www.inquisitr.com/3131647/does-little-people-big-world-family-also-have-a-serious-anti-gay-problem/

The poplular Live Journal "Oh Know They Didn't" Gossip blog site had a story of their own about Jeremy Roloff's own twitter post in which he linked a conservative commentator's article titled"Pay Attention Christians, They're Coming After The Churches Now".

Jeremy's comment before the link was "The first arrow has been shot. Here is an interesting article concerning the beginning of the war."

http://ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com/101767188.html

And now casual fans, people who had only watched the show or followed the Roloffs own social media are beginning to learn what the Roloffs really support or believe.

More and more casual fans are hearing of the Radar Online stories and are commenting on the Roloffs social media that they are surprised and disappointed to learn that the Roloffs are against gay marriage.

Many Christians are upset, feeling that Jeremy and Audrey Roloff are being persecuted for being Christian and they should be able to oppose same sex marriage without being called "bigots or "hateful".

However, in the aftermath of the Radar Online articles, the Jeremy and Audrey Roloff seem to be employing a new tactic -- a semi denial and misleading posts which lead some to believe that the reporting was incorrect and they shouldn't believe what they read about the Roloffs on the Internet.

So in the name of truthfulness, we thought we should provide some proof that it is not made up lies.

The original statement that Radar Online reported, came from Audrey Roloff on the Jeremy and Audrey Roloff website called Beating 50 Percent - a resource that aims to "inspire covenant marriages. Marriages that are undividedly devoted, completely committed, perseistently selfliss, value-centered, joy-filled and love-based".

Here is a screen capture of Audrey's original comment which appeared in the comment section of their website. As Radar Online noted in their article, this comment has now been deleted, but here is the original screen capture to prove it's truth:

We've included that because Jeremy and Audrey appear to be back-tracking? Or denying? Or implying the reporting is false? Or intentionally misleading people?

As noted, many fans are now commenting on Jeremy's Instagram and Audrey's Instagram  that they were surprised and never suspected that they would be against gay marriage.

Jeremy and Audrey, appear to be denying it. They could just be playing word games as they are denying saying they said they 'Don't support it', which technically is true, because Audrey said they 'Don't agree with it'. I think most reasonable people would say they are being dishonest and misleading by suggesting they never said that when it is the exact same sentiment.

In the first one, a fan asks Jeremy "Have they actually said they do not support gay marriage? This is so disappointing."...

.

Jeremy replies: "Nope" -- 'Nope' as in they never said they don't support gay marriage? That's a lie..or at the very least a deliberate attempt to mislead considering Audrey did say "it is not something we agree with".

Then another fan comments to Audrey that it "saddens me that you are anti-gay/anti-love...I really admired you.

Audrey replied:"Who said anything about being Anti-gay?!"

Jeremy has deleted some fan comments that reference the Radar Online article or attempt to answer other fans questions about whether Jeremy and Audrey actually said they don't agree with gay marriage. So because some people are concluding that Radar Online must have been lying or incorrect in their reporting, we thought we should include the original comment.

It also should be noted that Radar Online reported that they reached out to Audrey Roloff for a comment and she declined.

And with that said, Radar Online had another article about yet another member of the Roloff family being "Anti-gay"; Molly Roloff  making a Facebook post in which she applauded Kirk Cameron's controversial comment about gay people on CNN in 2012

A Spiritswander reader who had seen Molly's post had taken and screen capture and sent it to Spiritswander.

The purpose of these screen captures are to simply provide people with the truth and the facts. Individuals can make up their own minds and form their own opinions.

Review Written By Rap541

So let me be upfront. Today started really badly for me. I got my first cup of coffee, and sat down at my desk to check my email and BAM! Suddenly I was on the floor with my head ringing! My desk chair of fourteen year unexpectedly collapsed! I also bit the hell out of my tongue and sprained some toes. So I’m in a mood. (Lest anyone blame Jesus, it’s my own fault because I knew the chair was getting rickety but feel free to run with that “Jesus hurts people who piss him off” because I will enjoy reminded you all that under these Jesus rules, Jesus dislocated Audrey’s shoulder because she pissed him off.

In the rerun episode, I notice that Jeremy has a weird little “douche-stache” when he’s at the dinner with Zach, Tory and Auj. I also love that Matt is an utter pisspants about having his dinner at 6:30 when Amy was pretty clear that the timing was going to come from the kids. Let me explain – Matt pitched a fit over the timing when the kids were the ones who actually were responsible for it. Also am I the only one who doesn’t celebrate Thanksgiving by breaking shit in the barn while inebriated?

Next up! The Christmas horror!
This is basically going to be a fight between Matt and Amy.

Amy loves celebrating Christmas but now the divorce is happening and she’s sad because she’ll be alone Christmas day. Poor Amy. Now Matt starts up with how they used to do all kinds of things for the holiday and it will never be the same. Poor Matt.

Tory and Zach make wreathes. They want to do new traditions. They talk about doing a white elephant gift thing. I don’t like them, personally but it is a good way to cut down on the gift craziness. Now there’s a family meeting with Auj and Jer at the farm over Christmas and plans… Everyone seems to love the idea of the white elephant in that they all agree to do it. Then Amy explains the main plot of the episode. They’re doing a fun charity “be nice to kids with crappy lives” thing. Matt of course is all let’s do this big! It has to be kicked up a notch! He merrily craps on Amy’s idea’s of crafts and a farm table. He wants BIG BIG ROLOFF BIG. Jer notes how Dad wants something cool, not like mom’s ideas. Basically this is going to be a fight.
Now Amy meets with the charity folks. They check out the barn. She wants a winter wonderland, a small town Christmas feel.

It’s now ten days to the winter wonderland. Matt wants to do some “stuff” in the old Christmas tree farm. This will involve special effects? Jer moans about how much work it is. He hay bales how this will tick off Amy. Yeah this is pretty much going to be Matt and Amy griping at each other.

I think btw that the event itself is staged for the show, that they needed something to do an episode over and didn’t REALLY want to do Christmas. However I think a lot of the arguing is real.
Auj and Jer are wandering around Portland because they don’t have jobs or responsibilities. They get a whte elephant present. Auj and Jer go on and on how they love being together on the holidays all by themselves. They don’t mention the Jesus Jammies.

Then the “boys” head off to get Christmas trees. There’s fake drama over chopping the tree down but not being able to carry it and then poof we’re done. Then the twins make tree stands and we get clips from when everyone wasn’t so bitchy.

Amy makes treats and there’s the white elephant exchange. They keep referring to it as a competition, which I dunno, I never found them that hard. Zach manages to choose his own gift. Tory and Zach cutely debate how he did crappy gifts. Auj also chooses her own gift, a tampon flask! A TAMPON FLASK! Amy steals the tampon flask from Auj. Amy reminiscences. Amy also manages to regift a picnic basket and there’s a book by John Muir?

Now we’re off to decorate the barn! Jer and Auj publically wax on how they prefer to do stuff on their own with wine. I mean, other people are there. Matt of course says “I need to go get some *real work* done” – which is a huge ass move particularly when its clearly evening  and um… its winter. How much farm stuff happens in winter? It’s the passive aggressive stuff that makes it pathetic. Amy is actually quite right, he can’t let her do anything without shitting on it.
Matt is of course “planning a surprise” which will make it ok. Honestly this is why they are getting divorced, people.

Amy and her friend Lisa are doing crafts. The kids are getting a stocking, snowglobe and cookies. Matt is doing some sort of laser show in the wood line and is of course telling the world that he won’t tell Amy because Amy hates all that is good and fun. Again, painting your wife as Queen Bitch of the World is probably why you broke your vows to Christ.

Amy and Matt fight in the office. He accuses her of blabbing and she gets mad. They bitch about each other. Matt in particular is noting how he’s not trying to upstage her with the lasers and train but her ideas are so bad and he’s so grand and special…

So Amy does the all hands on deck line. There’s crafts. Tory and Zach want Christmas morning to be their special time. Amy notes it will fail when there’s kids. Amy wants grand kids. Auj and Jer went to the movies. I wonder if they know that’s actually a Jewish tradition for Christmas day?

Now a school bus of damaged kids are dumped off to be given joy. The holiday barn looks nice. There’s crafts. I’m bored but I hate crafts so.  Molly is there and Matt is all “bitch please, your mom has no idea what we’re gonna do. Its gonna make craft and cookie hour look like crap hour!”
Amy is happy they’re having fun. So of course Matt is off to do his grand entrance. AND COMMERCIAL!

Because you know….
It’s a fun holiday train. Matt feels it fits in. Now basically we have innocent kids being hauled into the woods with a strange man. Amy and Lisa are doing stockings and presents for all the kids. On the train, it’s getting as trippy as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’s ferry ride scene. Oh look Audrey yapping. Gosh knows we needed more of that.

And there’s fake snow in the barn. The kids get presents which is nice. The kids have fun.  They need to not have Sully everywhere – he seems like a nice dog but… Now there’s endless picture taking and now Audrey is yapping how special it is. Then Amy drama queens over the picture taking because it’s a lil hurtful to exclude her from all the fun pictures. Then she gets her dog and is good.

Everyone goes on and on about how awesome the party was. Amy says the farm with never be his or hers, oh Amy of course.

Next week Amy is off dating while Matt is all “I AM STUCK IN THIS FARM AND WANT TO SELL”. Yeah Jeremy clearly isn’t happy about that pronouncement.  The dad on Outdaughtered seems so dumb…

Oh kids, look. You know what I didn’t include in this recap? Any mention of any current dramas swirling about certain Roloffs. You know why I didn’t include them? Because they didn’t happen on the show. I was being courteous. I note for the record that Jacob and Isobel weren’t in tonight’s episode. Think about it.

Review of “A Roloff Wonderland” or whatever

OK, before I begin, how many of you counted the number of time the word ‘divorce’ was used in last week’s episode? Because it was totally absent in this week’s episode.

Not too much commentary on the episode itself this week, because there wasn’t that much of substance there, Their possible meanings and questions will follow.

Zach and Tori are at their house. Mention a White Elephant gift exchange. Round table meeting in Matt’s office. Jeremy was disdainful to his dad about Matt’s idea of a White Elephant gift exchange. What’s with the stupid cut-off finger gloves, never knew Special Jer to be such a fashion plate.

Amy wants it quaint and small. Matt, against his wife’s wishes, wants it big and flashy. Here we go with the bad dynamic again. Soooooo tired of the bad dynamic thing. Amy wants ONE tree, Matt brings THREE. Twins, the trees would last longer and shed fewer needles if placed in water. But with the staging, they were probably put up one day before. Product placement for Archibald Sisters. Uh, Audrey, a TAMPON FLASK? Are you kidding me? Please get your mind out the gutter. Bad for a ‘good’ Christian girl.

Why do they keep showing a broken trebuchet and a windmill that doesn’t DO anything? How can TLC possibly be proud for paying for that useless item.

Jeremy puts his brother down in a typically Jeremy James Jesus condescending manner. Zach, this. Zach, that. Zach, this. Zach,
And Zach agrees with this! What? Twisted dynamic.

White Elephant time. Special Jer dictates the rules holding a beer. Decorating in the barn. Auj – “we want to be by our own tree” fair enough. Special Jer – “and drink our own wine” NO alcohol problem here (??). Matt blows Amy off. Not much to do out in the farm for ‘real work’ Matt, bad bad acting.

Slick Lasers product placement. It’s amazing how Special Jer complains “this is going to be sooooooo much work” and of course they do NOTHING. Matt and Amy argue in the office. More on this later. Matt’s a jerk. Amy’s a bag.

Molly fulfills her contractual obligations buy putting in an appearance. No mention of any other Spawns of Satan by name, so they can’t be talked about in the comments. The kids have fun. Matt shits on Amy by not including her in the family photos. Than all is well. Oh oh, Matt mentions selling the farm next week. The look on Special Jer’s face = priceless!

OK, here are some observations and questions.

1. I checked, and indeed Matt and Amy are still listed as Executive Producers, along with other Associates and yadda yadda and like that there. So Matt and Amy know the content of the episode, and play a large part in deciding the content of each episode. So does that mean that Amy MUST agree with the content of the episode? She must agree to get pooped on by her jerk husband on this regular basis? She agrees with the staged treatment of her?

2. Matt said two things I wish to comment on. That “Amy was in her element” helping the kids (Sparks of Hope product placement) with the crafts when he was chatting with Molly. Also, he admitted that he was amiss in not including Amy in the family photos, then the photos with the kids. OK, WHY does he not say this to Amy on national TV? Why haybale it? Talk to your ex right in front of the cameras, MR.

3. Matt has not made any movement from his jerky-boys attitude and tried to acquiesce to more of Amy ideas. Amy has not made any movement from her crabby bitch attitude and tried to acquiesce to more of Matt’s ideas. They are so stubborn, and take such delight in pushing each others buttons, as Zach observed previously, that it would appear (wink wink) that no reconciliation is possible at all. Also they are still getting paid to put this garbage on national TV. Is that the reason? They’ve had many episodes in the past with their constant bickering, so sorry Roloffs, this is not news to any of us. I know the reason behinds both of their attitudes from the history of the show, but it’s time to let some things go. Both of you.

4. What is with Audrey and her fixation? For a supposedly good Christian girl? A tampon flask??? So you can smuggle liquor into an event? Not very honest of you, Ste. Auj. I can’t wait for the holier-than-thous here to say this is harmless, a little fun, stop persecuting (I LOVE that!!) our dear girl of christ for wanting to smuggle liquor into an event in a flask shaped like a tampon? I might even read some of those comments.

5. I never heart of that style of gift giving, which I have participated in, as a White Elephant. I'm more used to the term White Elephant being things like the Millennium Dome, Russky Bridge or the Sydney Opera House. Even I can learn something on LPBW. Imagine that!

Review Written by Rap541

So normally I watch the rerun of the previous episode but I have a new cable set up and can now pretty much watch new episodes of Criminal Minds on the hour since a friend recently turned me on to that show.
And do you really need the reminder that for the umpteenth time, Matt was an ass to Amy, Amy got pissed, and Jeremy and Auj took a few minutes off from their constant sex to say yet again that they want to be handed the farm. I actually discussed this on a different board, how strange it was that it was Jeremy, the able bodied, theoretically primed for success child who seemed bound and determined to be handed a living by his daddy while his much less abled brother who may have significant health issues as life goes on (did you know Jen from Season one ended up in a wheel chair?) and may not be able to work is never even asking to be daddy’s heir.

Oh look, this gonna be Matt bonding with the twins while Amy goes out to salsa classes. Yay.

Matt skypes with Jeremy and goes on about how he misses Jeremy and misses bonding with Jeremy. Matt sounds drunk as he asks Jeremy to bond with him over projects. Jeremy says no, he actually has stuff to do.

An aside, I am not over fond of skyping. It just seems silly. And here’s something interesting. Aside from the novelty factor, most people don’t like face to face over the phone customer servicing.

Amy is worried that she is retreating. She has her friend Lisa over to talk about how so lonely she is and also how she doesn’t want to see Matt dating. We hear yet again how Amy never expected to marry, which I both understand and kinda feel bad for her on several levels. Because a) she’s obviously been raised to believe that her role as a woman is to be married and a mother and nothing else, and she’s starting to see how she got the shit end of the stick on that. And b) she isn’t an ugly woman at all and clearly has never been encouraged to see herself as pretty and Matt probably hasn’t helped with the years of on camera “My wife sucks” stuff.

Matt is eating food with Bill a fellow divorcee. Matt is now more reflective as he doesn’t see the kids as much. I think the soundtrack flips to “Cat’s in the Cradle” as Matt is all “Oh gosh I should have spent more time with the kids”. I kinda wish the show had done a montage of Matt smiling and merrily noting how he had NO REGRETS over hitting the twins graduation late or how he had NO REGRETS over ditching Zach, Molly and Jacob in Ireland because he wanted to have fun with Jer, or how he had NO REGRETS over ditching the entire family on Mother’s day and the twins birthday because he just needed to go to Maui and have me time, or how he has NO REGRETS over merrily leaving HOW MANY family vacations because the farm, which he apparently now feels is an anchor, was far more important?

Zach and Tori are weirdly shocked to have Matt turn up at their house with camera crews and this seems really forced and fake. Matt pleads with Zach to spend time with him, and Zach is all “I am busy” and Matt notes how maybe Jeremy should be involved and this rapidly turns into a “lets go camping”. Matt waxes fondly on how he and the twins went camping in the olden days. Seriously though, this felt pretty fake.

Amy wanders into Matt’s office to tell him she wants to paint the kitchen cabinets. This is relatively cordial. She wants white, and Matt likes wood grain but he’s nothing but conciliatory. He lets her know how sad he is about how the twins have drawn away from him. He plans to take the twins and go camping. Amy loves the idea and plans to hang with the wives.

TWO DAYS LATER! Lisa is back and designing the kitchen. Amy wants antique white. I dunno, I rather like the rustic look. I also think the money could be better spent than replacing a perfectly nice kitchen but the Roloffs have trade outs to grab….

I am fairly amused though that Amy just… hires a contractor and apparently has the remodel half done already. Aren’t these the same people who had the house torn up for six months remodeling? Funny how there’s much less drama when Matt isn’t running the show.

Jeremy is all “I’m a man and I drop my busy plans of nothing to camp because GRR MAN!” Audrey notes how Amy is a mess and needs a friend and Audrey is ready to give Amy marital advice. Matt is excited for the trip. They are taking atvs and essentially all the camping gear ever. There’s some sort of massive grill on the truck. There’s a canoe.  There’s fishing. Jeremy and Zach fish with much griping from Jer. It’s all whining. Matt’s all “did we even pack food? Hee hee hee! Tory sent Zach a goody basket.

Pretty lengthy commercial breaks. Seriously we’re about three minutes on this.

Now we have the Roloff men at the campfire. Oh sweet, Auj’s special gift to Jer is booze. Matt notes how his wife packed no treat. Well, you did leave her, Matt.

Amy and the daughter in-laws chat over the newly renovated kitchen. Seriously it took next to no time. Amy is taking them to a wine bar and salsa dancing.

Back at the camp, Jeremy notes how Zach is away from the wife for the first time. It’s sweet but also condescending. I’m just saying, did Jeremy ever get a “explain how you feel about NOT BEING NEAR YOUR WIFE FOR THE FIRST TIME ON CAMERA, JEREMY!” moment?  Matt really seems drunk here as he talks about how he screwed up and made mistakes. Of course he notes how he was very driven and was working constantly. Jeremy notes that Matt’s projects became his wife. Jeremy really needs to be married longer than under two years to be giving his dad advice. Matt notes he has NO REGRETS as Jeremy notes Matt could make it work. Jeremy hay bales that there’s still hope. Matt slurs a bit and Jeremy continues to harp on how *his* kids will see Matt and Amy’s divorce and learn divorce is ok and really Jeremy, it’s not about you or your imaginary children. Jeremy notes how he will have a problem when Mom and Dad start dating and again Jer, you’re 26 and this isn’t about you. Considering how much you apparently like sex, you really don’t get to tell your parents that they can never do it again because the idea of it upsets you. He seriously is reacting like a ten year old.

Amy admits to the in-laws that her advice to their husbands was to not act like Matt. Amy mentioned how she went to counseling and Audrey wonders if she would go to counseling again and really no, no, no. Auj, you don’t get to tell your mother in law to seek counseling to stay married. Amy is pretty mature about it, I think.

Back at the camp, Matt slurs more about how awesome the boys are and how imbalanced he is. He asks if they feel he didn’t pay attention to them. They both note how Matt never went to their games. Zach hay bales that they were way easy on dad over that. Jeremy is all “You BUILT SOMETHING DAD! AND I WANT TO CARRY IT ON FOR YOU GIVE ME THE FARM!”

Back in Portland, Amy, Auj, and Tory score some black tar heroin (joking people!)and go salsa dancing. It’s fun to watch. Then we have some sort of grade school pick a partner and Amy is horrified! And shamed by all the memories of NOT BEING PICKED. And commercial!

And the commercial is of course about selling the farm.

Back to the horrors of partner choosing. And of course some nice, rather short latino fellow chooses her. Essentially Amy had a ball at the dancing and Tory is pleased and Auj seems pleased too.

Despite all the talk of no food, the menfolk are grilling tons of crap on their giant grill. Matt notes how he sent the kids out as children to be eaten by coyotes. Matt then tells them both that he’s considering selling the farm and he might need the money for assisted living and Jeremy is SCARED because he wants the farm.

Matt apparently wants to live at the same assisted living place my grandma lived at. Jeremy is APPALLED that he might not be handed the farm. Jeremy goes on and on about how he was always led to believe that the farm would always be there and now it might not and Jeremy is worried because he WANTS THE FARM and now that might not happen and OMG HE MIGHT NOT BE HANDED WHAT HE WANTS.

Jeremy hun? Grow up. You’re an adult. Your daddy and your mommy do not owe you anything. You want a fun cool farm? You’re able bodied and have money from a reality show. Go out and get it. The more you sit around whining on camera how your daddy and mommy need to think about you first in their divorce, the more you look like a helpless douche.

Oh look – next week is Auj and Jer’s advertisement for their website where per Christians here, gays are not welcome! And of course we get to see the dissolution of Matt and Amy’s vows to God to be wed.

REVIEW OF LPBW EPSISODE AIRING MAY 7

I wrote this up without seeing any other reviews or comments. I did not want to biased by the opinions or insanity of others.

We see the useless windmill again. Matt haybales that he wants to see his kids more often. Matt, they have their own lives now! It’s been close to two years, Matt. So he stage-Skypes Special Jer. Horrible acting by both. Jer looked soooooo interested. Jer can’t make it to the farm. Yeah, right Jer. The only reason Matt wants to see you is to keep the show going. And you signed a contract so you are obligated. Matt says, “Of course I understand the kids have their own lives”. NO, you don’t, Matt. You came to the realization that the show is not all about you. More on that in a bit.

Amy is plugging the ‘second act’ thing with Lisa, while suffering from diarrhea on the pity pot again. “Where did Matt and I go wrong?” WHAT? Goodness girl, that’s one of the silliest questions you could come up with. So it’s obvious you’ve never looked in a mirror? Oh well. Amy wonders what will happen if Matt starts dating. What concern is that of yours? Well? And to have her say, “To think that you will date, and it never happens.” Please. I can’t understand why this show is not listed as a situation comedy.

We’re at Stanford’s for a product placement. They’ve had their share of mileage out of this series as well. Unfortunately, no more freebies at the Mad Greek Deli I guess. Matt needs a foil just like Amy, so hi Bill. He whines that he doesn’t see his kids enough. Sigh, not that they have their own lives or anything (see par. 1). He mentions Harry Chapin’s “Cat’s in the Cradle” and wonders where he went wrong with his kids. Well, you mean where did you go wrong with your other three kids, Matt? It was well documented that you lived your life vicariously through The Golden Boy, but shit on the other three kids. He whines about the high maintenance of the farm. What does he actually DO? Not one word about Camarino, who is the real rock behind the farm, or the rest of the staff.

Zach and Tori’s house. Did anyone catch the “……….humble with your god” poster on the wall? It’s more than I saw at Auj and ofAuj’s house. Matt haybales that I’ll try to catch Zach at home. It’s harder to turn down your old man when he’s in the same room. “For a couple of hours” and “I was just in the neighborhood”, yeah right Matt. And you wonder where you went wrong? Not in five years, says Tori. Soooooo staged. I won’t retell the rest of the buffoonery. Then, the revelation comes down from on high (or the Storyline Cheat Sheet), “What about an old school camping trip?” Situation comedy, folks lol. Matt hayblaes again, “I need to spend more time with my kids”. They have lives of their own now, Matt, Part 2.

Amy goes to Matt’s office and wants to paint the kitchen. The close-ups are really corny. It’s not like it’s your decision there, Matt. Enough said. Amy calls Lisa for advice. Amy says something like, If I get some help, I can do this. Pardon? What did you do, Amy? Decide on colours. That’s all! Ryan and the contractors did everything else. Everything. Ryan rings the doorbell and Amy lets him in, after he’s been there to prep, mask, prime and put the first coat of colour on there. Horrible acting.

Going camping. Zach is completely prepared, “uh……..what?” He went to space camp, so I guess he can qualify as a space cadet. Bill and Matt fish. Special Jer asks from shore if they caught a single fish yet. He has a glass in his hand. Maybe he could audition for Trailer Park Boys and give Julian (Jean Paul Tremblay) a run for his money. Matt’s worried about fish for lunch. They had lots of hamburgers, and lots for breakfast. Horrible acting again. Zach did look totally surprised by Tori’s CARE Package. Special Jer gets a gift of his own, a six pack. Because, as Auj says, “He NEEDS a six pack for camping”. No alcohol problem here, folks. Like that’s all the beer that was there. We’re camping, folks. More situation comedy. Jer just NEEDS a six pack. Matt whines, “where’s my treat. I want a treat”. Oy. It’s not all about you Matt, Part 3 (I think).

Amy’s kitchen is antique white. Wonderful. The girls head out for the evening.

Back to camping. Here’s where the skunk starts to show his true colours. Zach is apart from Tori for the firs time in six months. Matt says when things are smooth, great. It’s when you hit the challenges………. So, what did you do over the years, Matt? Go on vacation? Scream and yell at the people who were good enough to help you because you knew nothing else but micro-managing? Blame everyone else but yourself? These were all on the show, Matt. He did admit, to be fair, that he made enough mistakes. Yes Matt, we know. You inconvenienced your family for more than six months while you relished spending TLC’s money enlarging the house. You totally ignored your other three children while you idolized (which is a sin) The Golden Boy. He even told the story that while he was working for a living, you know, the LAST real job he ever had, being number 53 out of the 53 Sales Engineers laid off by SAP, that he would come home after working all day, then go back to the pc after 11:00PM and worked until 3:00AM. Here’s a question. Why didn’t Judgemental Jer call HIM a workaholic, because he called a single mother who is struggling to make ends me a workaholic? Strange. Special Jer tells his dad that you can always learn from your mistakes. He haybles that his dad is obsessed, no balance. No, Jer, your dad is self-centered and NEVER thinks of anyone else, that’s what you see an imbalance. More on your misinterpretation of what you see a little later. Jeremy admonishes his dad for not correcting the mistakes he and Amy have made over the years. He actually says, “You assume you know what’s best for the situation”. You snotty little jerk. YOU don’t know the situation, YOU are making the same assumptions that YOU think will work with the little that YOU understand. See above, Buckwheat. “Your marriage is the trunk, and if you have a good trunk, you will be able to fix your marriage.” Stop handing your dad a bunch of generalities that you read from Family Circle, or Women’s Day, or whatever your wife tells you to read. It means NOTHING, Special Jer. Who the Hell are you, to give your dad advice when you have been married less than two years and you don’t know the problems, and don’t address the problems. Matt was right, boy (and he is indeed acting like a spoiled little boy) you only understand what you want to understand, not the whole picture. How dare you.

Amy and the wives. Auj pushes Amy about counselling, and asked about counselling now, Amy says no. Auj says they still have hope. Forget it, girls. Not going to happen. Too much water under the bridge. End it, get a clean slate. Even after Tori’s story of people being broke up for years. Again, the wives do not know all of the history or the development of the problems that brought them to this point. Amy says the wives hope that her and Matt will get back together.

Camping. Matt asks if there was a time that he didn’t pay enough attention to you boys. Special Jer is smart enough to mention something about soccer games. He had no right to say anything with the attention that Matt showered on Jeremy on national TV over the years. Zach of course made no mention of all the other days of the year that he was not playing soccer. It wasn’t in the script, I guess. Special Jer tells Matt that “You built something that can be used for generations”. The vultures are starting to circle.

Salsa con Coco. Tori is right. Amy should just stop. Get off the pity pot, girl. We’re tired of listing to you. She says, “I’m like the ugly duckling that wants to become a swan”. Oy again. Amy, the ugly duckling DID become a swan. Then she says, “D’oh”.

Back to camp. Breakfast. Bill’s cooking. Again. The only reason they brought him along obviously. OK, here we go folks. Matt mentions packing it in and selling the farm. It’s going to all change. The look of pure horror on The Vulture’s face! “When he mentions selling the farm, I have no ability to stop him from doing it, and that’s really scary for all of us.” Who the Sam Hell do you think you are? You impudent little brat!!!! This is the height of arrogance. “The boys can do it and you would be caretakers part-time”. What?? You can’t do it, Vulture! You know you can’t. And you want to cling to your daddy because you haven’t got the balls to do it. Any of it. And it gets worse people! When Matt (the part-owner) mentions that he has to sit down with Amy (The part-owner) and talk of selling the farm, The Vulture pipes up, “I want to be a part of those conversation because to make sure its not something we completely disagree with.” The unmitigated gall of this greedy man-child. IT’S NOT YOUR DECISION. YOU PLAY NO PART IN WHAT IS DECIDED. HOW DARE YOU!

Oh, it’s not over yet, folks. Matt mentions that this will be a new chapter. Amy and I have had our hardships. The outcome of the farm is not certain. Zach says that, “I can’t think of selling the farm. There would be no place for our kids to run around.” Nothing about living there. Nothing about running the farm. The Vulture pipes up again, and says, “Dad kind of led me to believe that the farm will always be here, and one day it will be yours, and one day it will be your kids……” He haybales with ofVulture that the sale of the farm is the real-ist and most emotional problem right now. It’s NOT your problem, It’s your ‘rent’s problem.

Alrighty then, where does this all come down to? Who’s at fault here? Matt, for drooling over his little Golden Boy and giving him whatever he wanted, and leading him on about his unabashed superiority over his other siblings and dangling the keys to the kingdom in his face? The Vulture, who took daddy at his word and proceeded to manipulate his parents like a couple of puppets to get whatever he wanted? Zach, who actually had the ‘nads to stand up and argue and disagree with this father, to ensure he would be thoroughly ignored and written out of anything in the future? Molly, for seriously not giving two shits one way or the other? Amy, for enabling her kids for so long, yet still making sure she still gets a piece of the pie by singing on the dotted line when she should have? Jacob, who got what he could when he could get it and got the Hell of out Dodge?

Personally, I’m, going to stick to my original prediction. All will be well in Roloff land.

So on rewatching, the skype conversation between Matt and Jeremy seems super fake. On a weird note, I kinda wonder what Amy does with Matt’s old office in the house. And I really think we should all campaign for Jeremy and Auj to have Matt build them a tiny house down on the farm so a) they can cram themselves into a hipster version of a camper and pretend its amazing and b) they can be fifty feet away from Matt so Jeremy can devote himself to his wished for future, being ON THE FARM, FARMING! I mean, why is Jeremy in Bend when he could be at Matt’s side daily, proudly working on the farm he wants so much, and learning from his daddy. Why, if Jeremy wanted it, he could be saying “Yes Matt, whatever you say, Matt” as much as he wants! Makes you think, doesn’t it?

God, listening to Jeremy and Zach whine like little bitches while fishing was hilarious. Good lord, the bonus scenes are the wives decorating Tory’s house and discussing how people who are short need to reach for things. Back at camp, the men are pretending there’s no food and seem to be drinking beer. Bill magically produces grilled cheese. Also watching Jer insist to his dad that he knows it all is HILARIOUS. As is Jeremy’s utter entitlement. It’s Jeremy’s biggest issue? Maybe the big boy needs to make his own life?

Oh this is all about the wedding blog! Jer and Auj are getting a commercial for their marriage website in the same episode Jeremy’s parents divorce! Sometimes I suspect production doesn’t like Jer all that much.

In Bend, Auj nags Jeremy to wash the dishes. Jer likes leaving dirty dishes around and Auj doesn’t like it and Jeremy thinks they will struggle with that forever! Yeah I really get the impression Auj doesn’t like it when he doesn’t mind. Tory and Zach walk Sully and they apparently have somewhat opposing schedules. They contemplate doing tennis together as a date.

Sully is a pretty dog.

Auj and Jeremy stare at their laptops and talk marriage because god knows they have nothing else to say since they don’t work and aren’t allowed to have friends who might tempt them. It’s fairly bland and so fair no mention of how they are married to Christ, or that they are covenant married or how they don’t support gay marriage as it is against their religious beliefs. Seriously, there’s no mention of their faith at all in this discussion. Isn’t that odd? Oh and spoiler alert, their love affair with Jesus is NOT mentioned, that their website is for CHRISTIAN COVENANT MARRIAGES is not mentioned at all, and of course, because they’re in it for the money, their personal belief that gay marriage is wrong and their website is not for homosexuals is NOT mentioned.

Matt and Amy discuss the salsa business. There’s some deadline over the story of the salsa and also there’s the divorce. Amy concedes that she missed a deadline. It’s surprisingly mature at first. Matt also wants the divorce done as quickly as possible but there’s no real discussion why.

Of course Jer and Auj are interviewing Auj’s parents because WHY NOT? Audrey babbles on about the 50 percent. Her dad seems nice. The important thing is that all the info comes from the parents and not the prize pairing of Jer N Auj.

Amy and Matt are getting smocks on to see the canning process of the salsa. Matt calls Amy a smock, and she gets pissed, and Matt’s all “poor you”. Honestly this is pretty dull and while Matt wants to take it nationwide, I don’t know. I’m not even asking if anyone has tried the Roloff salsa… has anyone ever tried pumpkin salsa ever? I haven’t because I am a pretty tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and peppers sort when it comes to salsa.

Now we have AujNJer interviewing the guy who married them. The couple checks on each other once a day and Jeremy is all “That’s intentional” like that’s wise when really, it’s not like they are butt dialing each other. (To be fair, I saw this comment elsewhere and found it hilarious because it made a great point – of course it’s *intentional* Jeremy, any time someone calls someone else it’s intentional) Now Jeremy gets to take pictures since he has to contribute something other than standing around.

Zach and Tory drop their granddog off with Amy so they can have date night and maybe play tennis. Sully is almost as big as my akita.

Personal note – you know how my grandparents met? My grand dad was a GI and my grandmother was a nurse in the RAF and they met in a bomb shelter in London and according to my grandmom, they were married less than 24 hours later. Love is love. Oh and my parents, with my mom who rivals and exceeds Amy for sheer passive aggressiveness? Are on year 51.

Tory teaches Zach tennis. He admits it’s difficult. I seriously suggest the both of them try racquetball.  (smaller court, and Zach could be more competitive)

So its two days before the EVENT! Jeremy continues to harp on how he was the one most affected by his parents divorce. Amy is asked and says she wished she had been stronger and more forceful in the early years of her marriage. I notice they don’t interview Matt of the “I HAVE NO REGRETS” comments.

Tory and Zach help with the gallery show. Auj notes the prints haven’t come…. And Jer is forced to admit it’s his fault. Auj basically points out that Jer should have overnighted the photos and then wonders why he isn’t calling them to check on them. Gosh she’s hardly a submissive wife.

Now we’re at the divorce attorneys place. Amy wonders why Matt is in such a rush to divorce when she feels horrible and guilty. Amy seems pretty broken up about it. As does Matt. It’s all such a downer for you know, the MARRIAGE BLOG TO LAUNCH. I again seriously suspect the show staff isn’t fond of Jer.

Back at the farm, Amy is still waxing deeply on the divorce. She thinks there were problems for a long time and I agree. Matt thinks they grew apart, I think they stayed together for the kids.
Jeremy is attempting to be a man and is calling the shipping people to get his photos since he didn’t overnight them. He’s wanting to drive to a location to get the photos.

Meanwhile Matt and Amy go for Mexican? To discuss the salsa! Matt is all “it’s what the lawyers say”. Amy scoffs, and Matt is all “I want this shit done faster!”

Amy demands to know if he wants in on the salsa business. He’s basically not into it because…. The divorce has dragged too long? I accept that the argument isn’t being presented well. Oh Matt harps on how his time is so precious. Amy is pretty ready to be done. Oh hey, Matt wants to sell the farm again! Tho they do both look deeply unhappy about it. Personally, I think it’s probably best but… I doubt it will happen as long as TLC shows an interest.

So Jeremy picked up the prints. Auj harps and harps on how he wasn’t owning it. Amy is on board with the event. Auj reminds Jer that he needs a hair tie for his girlish locks! Then they argue in the car or rather Auj demands Jer apologize to her over his dismal performance in organization, and really she does have a point since he did screw it up to begin with. Oh hey Jer, look, you didn’t marry your mom, you married your DAD! HAHAHAH! He totally non-apologizes to her “sorry the prints didn’t arrive” with no mention of how he could have rushed them.

Now we’re at the gallery show and they never went to the space until the day of the show? Ok… The show seems pretty pointless except that you know, it’s an event for the cameras. The marrieds discuss how rehearsed their comments are.  How lovely, Auj saying “back in the old days, when something broke you fixed it” and the camera panning to Matt and Amy ahahahahh.

Jeremy looks totally like a deer in the headlights as Auj babbles on.  There’s a photo booth. Matt tells Jer how he wishes he’d known all this marriage stuff back when he was nailing Amy and breeding babies.

Honestly Jeremy has become Auj’s lil trained chimp, she bitches him out and forces him to apologize and all in all acts like his dad. Auj is clearly the one in control of the website.

Seriously, Jeremy married his dad. It’s so hilariously weird.

Review of “Marriage Do's and Don'ts”

I'm going to break up the episode into the three storylines so each may be followed separately. I need to get this finished so I can check the blog. Thank you.

     Zach and Tori
They're walking Mr. Sullivan and discussing their two different work schedules. This is an occurance in D.I.N.K.S (double income, no kids) just as much as both working straight days. They mention a date night when they both have time off, which they feel is a good idea, as Zach mentioned he gets home at 7:00PM which really doesn't offer much together time. Tori says she would like to do something SHE used to do in high school, which I feel is fair, because all Zach did was play soccer and dirty up the Previa, so why not? Zach had no opposition.

They take Sully to Amy's so she can dogsit. I said it before and I'll say it again, Mr Sullivan is NOT trained. We should phone Cesar Milan, The Dog Whisperer so he can train........Zach and Tori. All Sully wants is to follow and please his Pack Leader. One of them needs to learn how to be the Pack Leader, and I feel all will be fine.
They go to Tualatin, a 'burb of Greater Portland. Tori was glad to be able to teach Zach a sport, rather than the other way round. He didn't have to worry about his little leggies after all. I was a bit concerned about his waddle gait as he ran to his vehicle at Amy's, but he still moves fast, indeed. It seems as the bet was doing dishes for the week, and Zach says, “Well I guess we'll have dirty dishes for a week” (despite the fact they have a dishwater lol) and believe me, we'll be chatting about doing dishes later in the review.
At Launch Night, they discuss how they are doing in relation to their marriage, and they feel they are on the right track. There are many decisions made in a couple's lifetime, and I feel it can be seen who does that in this marriage. More at the wrap-up.

     Matt and Amy
What would an LPBW episode be without the major Agonists, pro and ant (the choice is yours for each, enjoy!) to keep the pathos going. We start in Matt's office. While they are trying to take the salsa nationwide, Amy appears to keep dropping the ball by being late (murmurs of amazement) three times at doing an update edit on the personal history. This is holding up the new label. Matt does try as nicely as he could to tell her she is holding up the whole process, and while she say, “OK, this, big fail. It's me” She to this day refuses to acknowledge that although she wants to go nationwide, SHE is the reason it is not happening. This will come to bear later. Amy haybales about going to the the lawyers. She ends with, “This is not how it's supposed to work!” instead of the true, “This is not how I think it should work.” It's a process, and outside parties are involved, Amy.

They go to Beaverton Foods, the manufacture of said salsa. They parade their high class in front of the whole world by bickering in front of the Production Manager. Good one you two. WAIT! Amy doesn't like the pumpkins on the label. Hmmm...you mean the label that you are chronically late on finishing the edit so you can't ship out nationwide? Yeah, that one. But, she decides to be the bigger person and let it go. Yay.

Off to the lawyers. Amy really start gushing here. Yikes. “This is life-changing. It's hard to learn that someone doesn't want you in their life anymore.” STOP!! What have you done, Amy to show Matt the you want him in YOUR life, besides sniping, attacking, and complaining at almost every opportunity? Puh-lease. “This is devastating. I feel guilty...” Well, you should. Oh oh oh, here comes the punch line! “I don't think I'm that bad.....” There it is, folks! Proof positive that there are absolutely NO mirrors in Amy's house on the farm. Now we know. Matt says, “It's a sad, sad day.” Well, it hasn't come yet, Matt.

Amy has just returned form the lawyers. In the dark. “Living on the same property makes it hard....” (hint for next week) and “It's been building for 15 years, we're on this track that that we're unable to come back from.” Please stop talking in circles, Amy. You keep treating the divorce like it's new, come on. Matt say, “It makes you sad. We've grown into two different people.” NO! We have all seen this since perhaps the beginning of season 4. There were small hunts at micro-managing in the previous seasons, but you really started to show your true colors, both of you, after that.

So they go to Friday Mexican Cuisine for a product placement, away form the farm. What, no Stanford's? The freebie Nazi must have gone to Stanford's ,”No freebie's from you!” Amy pushes Matt, “Do you want to be a part of the salsa or not?” Hold on a minute. You Amy, have repeatedly missed deadlines to launch the product nationwide, you wanted to change the label, along with the history edit, and YOU are having a go at Matt? Who the Hell do you think you are? Matt does his best at being diplomatic, which really is not his strong suit, and mentions with all the constant delays, and when things continue to get delayed, then no. Matt says with living as close to each other (another hint for next week) it's hard. So why don't we just sell? They agree to PREP to sell the farm, sign the divorce papers and go their own ways. Uh, where's Amy going to live? Tune in next week folks.

At the Launch Night, Matt looked a tone of Special Jer's photos and say, “That's an awesome shot of the barn.” Way to go, Matt.

     Audrey and Jeremy
WE start in the kitchen in Bend. Jer is wearing a winter coat and a wool hat. I'd call it something different, but I'm sure the christians will persecute me. Auj has the fixings out for Zombie Jer's waffle. Auj starts the discussion as she did the cooking dishes, her slug can do the eating dishes. The reason I say that is, Audrey waits for a response. Audrey ASKS for a response. Audrey NEVER gets a response. The poor woman should have skipped Barre 3 training and taken Paramedic training so she can check pulses every once in a while. Then we see Jer washing a frying pan, a cooking thing, not an eating thing. Confused? So am I. All with the cameras there. We know who's trying and who doesn't give an obese rodent's posterior. On the haybale, Jer says sometimes he leaves the washing up until the next morning, which Audrey doesn't like. What worries me the most, is when Auj's slug says, when it comes to compromises after they work it out, that he says, “Sometimes I will BEND MY WILL to change. What???? Gracious, this is marriage, it's not life and death. Bend my will. Horrific. They are working on their new website. Speaking of product placements, why are the computer logos, covered? Something to do with Rockstar Energy Drinks? When they were throwing ideas back and forth, Auj mentions finances. What do couples who are running a business (she might be thinking of herself and Jer) IF what they are doing is even considered a business, handle their finances to get by? Look Auj, MOST newly married couples WORK, not run businesses, this is where the thinking starts to get exclusive, which might limit the audience. Jer's history is “motivating” to his side of the website, and Auj's history is “Inspiring” to her side of the website, which is good. I still don't understand the idea of taking big photos of these couples (NOT Matt and Amy), the idea of thanking them in this way doesn't seem as strong as getting something about “Special Jer's a photographer, so we have to include something about that.” Now, if they wanted to privately present these to the couples as a gift of thanks, that would be awesome! But to use it as advertising seems tacky to me.

Rev. Jamie and Chris are interviewed. They use their own system for keeping the spark burning. They seem like a nice couple indeed. I giggled where, after they mentioned their plan to take one week for themselves every year, Special Jer says, “That is INTENTIONAL” What? Really how limited is this boy's vocabulary? Sigh. Another slightly disturbing thing to me that was said, was when Audrey spoke of all the things she learned form her mentor, and the new things they learned form Jamie and Chris at the interview, she said we can use a lot of this to protect our marriage. Uh. 'Protect'? Why not 'Preserve'. There are better words another college graduate can use, I think.
Two days before. At Amy's house. Jeremy says while sitting on the couch, “There's nothing worse than having a friend or family member going through a miserable relationship. Go ahead Jer! Throw it right in your mother's face. Good boy, Jer! Why do you tell her again that her place is in the kitchen while you're at it? You did that before on national TV, too. In answer to the question of experience, Amy said, “I wished I voiced my thoughts and opinions more, in the first year of our marriage.” She goes on to say she didn't want to raise any 'issues'. Stop right there. I am seeing a real split here, between what the christians consider how a wife should be dutiful to her husband, and follow his lead. Amy was following the christian's model of a good, dutiful wife. I gave my head a serious shake when after Amy said, “Yeah, I can do the 'would've, could've, should've' now.” and her wonderful son pipes up, “Yeah but there's always what you CAN, WILL, and SHOULD do NOW.” What a complete jerk! What's worse is, some people think he has every right to force his ideas and opinions on his mother. That's just very bad form.

We come now to the crap about the late prints. The haybaling was as funny as any Three Stooges routine. When Auj mentions that the prints were not there yet, Special Jer crosses his arms and says, “Which is my mistake.” Hold it here. I'm not the greatest on body language, but oh my that was the most defensive, 'close you out of my space''I need to protect myself' arm-crossing that I've seen in a long while. Hilarious! Auj, rightly, wants to overnight the negatives, or send them the day before, or before that, and good ol' Jer, No, no, you don't understand, I do this all the time yadda yadda yadda blah blah blah.”

Time for a story. In days of old, when knights were bold, and Molly turned sixteen, Jer and Zach were going to surprised her at school with doughnuts. A nice thought. Really. However, the day of, Madame Enabler Amy tried three times to get the slugs out of bed, no luck. (By the way, Jeremy flatly denied she EVER woke him up in the morning, on national TV. D'uh) When the non-dynamic duo finally get out of bed, they have to RUSH, and SPEED, and HURRY!! Oh my goodness! Whatever shall we do??? They get to school at noon, run up to Molly out of breath, and go on to tell her, “Whew! We made it Moll! We had to speed, and rush through the doughnut shop, and you wouldn't believe how fast we had to go, and......” Molly takes one look at the two sorry sights and deadpans, 'So why didn't you just leave earlier?” “No, no NO you don't understand!!! We ran our butts off to get here on time for you. We darn near ran traffic lights just to get here!” Molly shook her head.

On to the present. Not-so-Special Jer is on the phone with the shipping company, asking where the prints are. He voice-overed that the tracking information dais they had landed in Portland. And the dude on the phone says, “Yeah, I don't really have any way to figure out where it is right now.” which is complete crap. I've shipped over 900 items to myself, and have shipped out close to 250 items, and believe me, they know where the prints are. He tells Auj, “Well, I'm going to the place where they are supposed to be shipped right now.” Auj, “Is that where they are?” Jer, “Yes.” Supposed to be. Are. Whatever. Fine. Jer leaves ALONE. Auj continues prep work.

2 hours before the event. No vehicles out front. Jer supposedly comes in and says, “Babe, come have a look.” Audrey is following him, with her coat on???? This is so poor, people. On the haybales, Jer says his biggest fear was the prints would be a 6 hour drive away (previously HE said the tracking information showed the prints had landed in Portland!!!) but they were in Portland. Sad. Very sad. They load up and get going. Auj , rightfully days she was stressed that Jer was not owning up to the late shipment. And do you have a hair tie, No, I'm wearing the hat. No, you're wearing a hair tie. Driving there she tells Jeremy ,”I can't work in this disorganization. You need to be more organized.” Jer dodges twice, “How am I not organized” and “The prints SHOULD have been there” before finally apologizing. Thank goodness. It's funny how he goes on after that saying it showed how we just learned something I guess (you guess?) throughout the whole process.

30 minutes before. How were you not organized, Jer? “Honestly, we have never even seen the space before. Just a little detail we forgot about.” You can't be serious. You have not even been there. Oy vay. Here we go! The best line of the night! Auj, “Jer, how is my chest, is it too low?” Let's stop right here. There have been haters making very disoaraging comments about Isabel wearing a bikini top, on the beach, and posting the photo. YET, this woman wears this low low neckline to a website launch, on front of everybody, on national TV, and that's just fine. And this is not the first time. Remember her 'dress' (read 'scarf) she wore to the pumpkin season meeting? Unbeleivable. I'm sure you also noticed how Jer could not bear to be embarrassed by his wife, “If I forget, no need to jump in and say it, just give me a little reminder....” At the end. He did give his wife credit, “Audrey worked so hard on so much of this.” And just how much did you do? Other than make catty remarks on the blog and delete them later? I thought so.

It's pretty obvious who is doing the most, or basically 'running these two marriages. And it isn't Jer and Zach.

Tune in next week when Matt wants to move off the property, that's going to be sold anyway.

Review Written By Rap541

On a rewatch, I really have to say, Audrey is so much prettier when she tones down the lipstick. I get that she wants to insist on having a signature look but it is doing her no favors.  I also think Matt is attempting to do some damage control with his public apologies to Amy. I also still really find it hilarious that Matt has issues with not having enough space in the double wide. I think Matt misses that “I live in a million dollar house!” snob point – we all remember how Matt likes to brag that he makes more money and has nicer things… And now he’s “Matt Roloff living in a trailer”.

There’s some bonus footage of Amy doing a fundraiser for an unnamed private Christian school…. Heh. And oh, fyi, Amy was brutally teased over her height. Otherwise, oh look Zach going on about how he loves soccer. Oh and we can’t take Matt anywhere without Matt screeching to the camera “LET THE GAMES BEGIN!” – Because Matt is so into soccer, right? And for the record, I know it was for the show, but they need to figure out how to shoehorn Jeremy in when the story is about dwarf athletics because it really seemed weird to have Jeremy coaching and then playing with a bunch of 15-16 year old kids…

All the previews are of the family arguing about the farm in Hawaii. Because that’s reasonable.

So Matt is on the haybale insisting that they aren’t going to be like other divorced couples, they are still going to do things as a FAMILY. Important to note, the “whole family” now consists of the twins and their wives. Matt calls Amy to his office to discuss his great idea – taking the family to Hawaii. Amy thinks it’s crazy. Then she’s all “If the kids are going then maybe”. We’re then treated to prior footage of other vacations. Matt notes that once the marrieds crap out some grandbabies, they aren’t gonna get to go to Hawaii at the drop of a hat. I also note that this is the trip that Auj and Jer refer to as a “working vacation” where they were working on their website.

Amy tells Zach and Tory about the trip. Matt tells Jeremy and Auj. Everyone seems to think this might be awkward but… Free trip to Hawaii, how bad can it be? Jeremy condescends how his parents probably can’t be mature, and Zach concurs. Now more prior footage of trips. Jer considers it a trial run for how they do vacations going forward. Jer, lil tip, you can’t go to Hawaii at the drop of a hat if you ever have a kid. You’re also getting a little old for mom and dad to be treating you to a vacation.

Hawaii seems nice. Matt tries to pretend he doesn’t go to Hawaii constantly. Matt demands the family – which apparently only consists of Jeremy, Zach, Tory and Auj, do certain activities with him. There’s parasailing, dolphin swimming, whale watching, a luau. Advertising partners are giving treats.

Amy loves the luau and the dancing. Of course the audience is asked who is in love and Amy is sad that she’s not in love etc because we can’t go three minutes without the divorce. That said, Amy does seem pretty open and honest about it. Matt pats himself on the back for suggesting Hawaii. Zach is pulled to the stage to shake his butt and didn’t catch that Tory was there – I sense production involvement but it was cute. Jer and Auj are just happy it wasn’t them!

I get why Jacob is He Who Must Not be Named, but since when do they not mention Molly needing to miss the vacation? That’s interesting. Well, really it’s just sad. Especially when they repeatedly refer to how awesome it is to have the WHOLE FAMILY there. (Note – since some of you like to bitch, remember, I am finding it odd that MOLLY is now no longer part of the whole family).

It’s Day 2 of Hawaii Hell. Matt and Amy lounge by the pool. Amy hay bales that she doesn’t hate Matt and wants to have fun with the kids. She’s glad they are ALL able to be there…. Interesting. Zach and Tory are off to paddle board aka smooching and watching turtles. Jer wears a grandma hat and Auj lets us know that Matt and Amy are together but sitting three chairs apart. Now we’re off to the twilight whale watching! Audrey was clearly enjoying herself – we don’t normally get to hear her speak and not be “on” for the camera. They are impressed with the whalesong and everyone seems to have a great time. I’ve done whalewatching myself – I highly recommend it. Amy is all “Tory and Audrey are like my own daughters”. Matt makes everyone swear to vacation in Hawaii even if they have children. Matt goes on about how awesome it is and then “RAWR!”’s for the camera.

Now we’re parasailing. Matt notes how he’s a man and will do it. Oh of course we need it pointed out that a) Matt is concerned about the harness because he’s a dwarf and b) He knows it’s a bad idea because of his health issues but he just has to! Everyone seems to have fun. Oddly we don’t see Jer and Auj parasail. Or did we? I missed it if we did.

Now we’re at dinner, and Matt relates how he bought the farm. Tory pointedly asks Jer and Auj if they plan to move back to the farm. Auj is very clear that she and Jer have shown the most interest. Matt expresses a real concern that people will fight over the farm and I kinda think that it is totally true especially as Jeremy and Auj pee on the entire place to claim it. Matt rightly points out that selling the farm, cashing out and splitting the money evenly is the only fair way to handle it.

Matt hay bales how he doesn’t want to saddle them with the pressure. I think Matt just doesn’t trust either twin to run the place. Jeremy sagely notes how he wants the farm and wants it available for him to live at. Jeremy wants a contract with how he’ll never fight with Zach over it, until Jeremy and Audrey return to the farm. Because that sort of contract is you know, ridiculous and unenforceable. Matt disagrees with this idiot plan and Jeremy really strongly notes how Tory and Zach have NOT expressed an interest in living there and how he and Audrey want it bad. Tory notes that she and Zach want to visit the farm. Jeremy thinks this is all about Matt’s fear that he will lose control of the farm.

Personally I think the bigger issue here is that we’re not seeing two of the Roloff kids even considered, let alone involved in the conversation. That and the weird thing Matt and Amy do agree on? Is that they are concerned that that farm can’t be fairly split unless it’s sold. I do wish sometimes that a friend or random stranger would interject in these sorts of discussions and point out the really obvious reality that its neither unusual or cruel for parents to not leave their homes to their kids. Case in point – Matt’s parents and Amy’s parents have not done so. And no one seems to think that’s unusual or cruel of Matt and Amy’s families.

Now we’re swimming with dolphins again because torturing captive animals is fun. Sorry, I think it’s wrong, I understand the urge to do it, but it is keeping animals that were meant to swim the whole ocean in tiny cage pools. I don’t think people mean to be cruel when they do this but…

Jeremy is determined to get everyone to agree that he and Auj get the farm. Honestly it’s a little excessive on his part. Tory suggests patience. Jeremy thinks people are wondering what the Roloffs will do in the second and third generations. No, Jeremy, no one really cares all that much because you’re not that pretty and you’re not that special. As it is, I am fairly convinced Jeremy’s business savvy (and lack thereof) will pretty much doom the place.

Amy interjects a whole little bit on how shook up she is over the divorce again. Because we haven’t heard this before, a thousand times.

Now we’re at the last dinner and Jeremy is in his grandma hat again. I suspect all this hat wearing is Jeremy’s passive aggressive dislike of his hair that Auj loves so. Seriously, his hat wearing, especially when indoors is getting odd. And we then go on and on about the farm. Matt makes the comment that he really doesn’t think Jeremy knows how to run the farm. This doesn’t surprise me at all, because I have always given Matt credit for having some business sense, and I suspect Matt knows that Jeremy’s plans for the farm go something like this.

1.       Steal underpants!

2.       ??????

3.       Profit!

Matt then kills the mood by asking Amy in front of the kids at dinner if she’s done an email to the lawyers since he wants this done lickety split! Because we need a reminder of the divorce that hasn’t been mentioned in three minutes.

Next week, Amy is getting a tat! Well, the only way I’d be more shocked is if Jeremy said he was getting a job! And we know that’s not happening! Actually, one thing I find amusing about this whole endless wringing of hands over what will happen with the farm is why no one ever questions why Jer and Auj… aren’t already *ready* to live on the farm. They’re maintaining a household that’s three hours away from the farm for what reason? The farm is in Hillsboro not Bend. Their wedding blog can be run from anywhere and the photography business would actually be better if they were closer to a larger city. And Jeremy could actually learn how to run the farm. Ever notice though, how Jeremy has no interest in that?

Now we’re doing a helicopter ride because why not? Auj has heard horror stories about helicopters. Matt harps how he’s sharing the experience with the WHOLE family. Hawaii is lovely btw. Tory and Zach note that it was nice that Matt and Amy didn’t flip out at each other. Now they’re having a bon voyage drink… it’s actually rather obvious that the kids left at a different time. Matt and Amy drink to each other and pat each other on the back for remaining cordial in public.

Next week Matt is whining again over how he’s too damn good to have to live in that horrible doublewide.

Here are reviews of the new episode of Little People, Big World which aired on TLC on Tuesday July 5th, 2016.

Review Written by Rap541

So my only real take away from the bonus footage in the prior episode is that Matt is clearly looking for property in Hawaii. I won’t go all House Hunters on you but it’s really expensive property. There’s a second house that is more dwarf orientated. Matt ponders whether he can have the Hawaii life with or without selling the farm. A guess? For the property we saw? He’ll need to sell. Also in the bonus footage there’s some open drooling over the property there.

New ep! We start at Matt’s trailer. Matt whines more about how he’s trailer trash. He asks Amy’s permission to change the flooring. He wants a wood floor. Amy basically asks how much it will cost and Matt insists it will cost less than the kitchen redo Amy just did.

Audrey just wanders in even tho she lives three hours away. Amy is in her bathrobe telling Auj how she is gonna get tatted up. Auj seems pleasantly horrified. Amy loves the idea and she’s so having a midlife crisis. Auj presses for a tat that’s something like “Always more”. Seriously, considering the three hour drive, I find myself wondering who is supposed to be fooled here.

Matt continues to state how he’s too awesome to live like trailer trash, and he’s “putting lipstick on a pig” in trying to renovate the disgusting shithole that is his beloved doublewide. Zach meanwhile is oddly obsessed with replacing his gate because Sully might escape.

Honestly really? Our issue today is the gate? And Amy’s tat? Tory and Zach clearly only allow filming in the front room and the kitchen. Tory notes that Zach isn’t the greatest in home repair and Zach notes that this is an awesome story for the camera! Zach is calling Matt and Jer! What a lil sell out!  Funny how Jer and Auj are always available to drive three hours for things like… gate repair.

Meanwhile at Matt’s bachelor pad, he has a designer and hardwood floors and a party after the new paint he wants! He fairly openly flirts with his designer. They may paint the cabinets red?

Back at Zach’s place, Matt is demanding Jeremy show up. Jeremy shows up in his restored BMW. OMG really? Is fixing a gate this hard? My MOM did this at our house, and she’s 74! Zach notes that if he doesn’t ride Matt and Jeremy, this will never get done. Zach, between you and me, I think you’re getting a trade out.
Interesting that no one at all seems concerned that Jeremy, a working MAN with a wife, apparently has no job to be concerned with. I can guess why Jeremy hasn’t manfully offered to *pay* for the farm he wants so much.

Back on the farm, Amy is plotting her tattoo and calls someone to chat up her feelings on tattoos. Amy is all “I am so dangerous! Thinking of a tat!”

Jeremy tells Zach how the project over the gate has totally escalated and I roll my eyes because… it’s a gate. I mean…. It’s just a gate. It’s clearly good that Jeremy hasn’t had any ambition to do anything with his life if he thinks “fixing a gate” is a major crisis. I’d hate to think what the world would be like if Jeremy held any position of responsibility since “fixing a gate” is a crisis to him. Gosh, can you imagine if Jeremy had to deal with anything that wasn’t minor? Like a sick disabled child, for example?  I am so glad these kids haven’t gotten pregnant. I also note that Jeremy lives in Bend and is out on the farm in Hillsboro screwing around with the ever so important gate…. Shouldn’t Jeremy be doing weddings? Or at least insisting that the gate work is about learning about the farm?

Zach is kind of appalled about Amy’s tat. Matt wanders in during the tat talk. Amy is awkward telling Matt. Amy is clearly having a midlife crisis. Matt is vaguely appalled. Amy is like “oh well” over that.

Zach and Jeremy take the gate out to the bonfire to masturbate over it and brand it because this isn’t for the cameras at all! Zach notes how there’s new hardwood floors in the double wide and Jeremy is non committal except that he really wants mom and dad to be his mom and dad married forever. Jeremy’s inability to accept the divorce or consider it in any terms other than how it affects him personally is getting sad. The brand stuff would be cute if it wasn’t so pretentious.

Matt is having stuff painted yellow? Or red? Ok.

Back at Zach and Tory’s, the gate is finally being fixed because this is clearly a several weeks chore. A chore that Jeremy who lives in Bend has days and days to piddle around in Hillsboro over.

Omg there is a 4x4 piece of wood missing and there’s drama! Because no one in driving age with a car can go to home Depot, Matt, Jeremy and Zach are all confounded by this crisis of the gate!  But Bill drops off the precious forgotten piece of wood and the gate is FINALLY fixed. Matt is all “OMG THIS ISN’T ON THE FARM!” and it’s all stupid.

Amy and Lisa head out for some tat bonding. Amy is all “ITS TAT TIME!” I sorta hope she does it because this is such a pretentious tat place. I personally don’t care for tats but I am going to do a henna tattoo  - not permanent – on both arms for dragoncon.

So Amy heads into the tat place. Amy is all “TAT ME UP!” She notes that it hurts. It actually looks good, tho I don’t get the sentiment. But I am not good with tats so… Amy is all “well this wasn’t so bad so,  maybe we’ll get her on a tat spinoff show.

Back at the double wide, Matt is staging a stag party where everyone kisses his ass and drinks. Oddly Zach is questioned about the gate which is a weird thing for people to bring up. This is a sausage fest and Matt moans to friends how hard the divorce is on him. Matt is all “I’m not thrilled to live here” and really, he has a really nice house so the endless bitching how he’s too good to live in such a shithole irks.

Next week! Amy may date but it’s probably a tease and Matt may nearly kill himself but its’ probably a tease. Oh and hey I caught the Jer and Auj interview where they were asked what they were doing and basically non answered with nothing. Bless their hearts!

I get comments on here all the time about how people 'miss me on the show' or telling me I should 'do a few more episodes' with the family; I'm posting this to say that that will never happen. For the sake of 'the episode' and ratings I've seen a lot of STORYLINES drawn up (loosely) about our lives, and when I was standing here, behind the scenes and watching it from an outside perspective I just couldn't stop laughing. Laughing at how hard the producers have to try to get us to follow the talking points, and at how ridiculous the talking points are.
.
To misquote Chomsky, "the primary objective of any system is to preserve the integrity of that system", meaning, the primary objective I have felt and observed over the years of the 'crew' is to preserve their job and preserve the ratings, which is up to you to be right or wrong. That's not to say they are all soulless corporate shills or something, there are and have been good people involved but that doesn't negate the fact that they do have their own personal agenda. For me, noticing how the agenda of the crew doesn't work well with the health & happiness of our family is what made me decide quite a while ago that I would not be a part of it as soon as I was able.
.
All in all I appreciate people wanting me to 'be with the family' for a few more episodes, but the family that is filmed is not my family. They are the Roloff Characters and I have scarcely anything in common with them, nor do I want to be a character myself. As soon as the cameras drop however, its almost like they never played the part. 20 minutes after this picture was taken we all, plus friends, had a campfire late into the night. So, I am with my family and I love them I'm just here to say you'll never see that from me on TV again.

Here are some of the notable comments:

  • mollyjoroloff🏻 well said. I know I've taken a different approach than you but man, I can respect this

  • It's generating a lot of fan comments. As is usually the case, the only comments Jacob responds to is the negative ones (the majority of the fan comments are praising Jacob for being wise).  Although Jacob deletes negative comments and bans posters for commenting things he doesn't like, here's a few:

  • sarasota1971 @beaglemom33
  • I agree with you so much take your face off the opening credits and he will miss the money. He seems like a spoiled brat Always acted like one ever since it started

  • Beaglemom33 @sarasota1971 thanks!! It's his right to not appear but to jeopardize his family for a stupid comment on social media is just selfish.

  •  Jacobroloff45 @Beaglemom33 @sarasota1971
  • there is no money to be missed. I haven't and still don't get 'royalty checks' from a simple 20 second intro. And your phantom idea of jeopardization is just that, phantom. You don't need to comment here anymore; who knows, maybe there is a blog out there made for just that sort of speculation and assuredness.

  • izzygarretonI'm so proud of the change I've seen in you. You started out with so much anger, and now you have nothing but love in you. I feel blessed to be a part of this beautiful family and a part of your life. You have showed me so much. TV is fake but the people on it are definitely not, they all have their own stories and lives that are so much more important than the TV version. ❤️

  • izzygarretonBefore you write a comment, out yourself in a 6 year old's shoes who had no choice in the matter. Not everyone responds well to fame - Kylie Jenner has openly said she HATES the fame. She also had no choice in the matter. Jacob has turned into an amazing man, your opinion on THAT fact alone just has no place here.

  • Tablefor05 So does your family enjoy portraying people that they are not for the sake of a paycheck? Glad you know what you want.

  • MrsMartell12_02
  • Like how do you tavel and afford a home..car...bills...with no job? Do you work or is it t.v. money? In which case would be highly hypocritical and if you hate it all which i get i could never be on t.v..then why a couple months ago were you fighting for money? Why not just let it go and move in from what you dislike so much instead of accepting fake money..u know? @jacobroloff45

  • Anabana89
  • Yea but he enjoyed all those family vacations paid by TV $$ & now living in CA with his GF on TV $$ your funny
  • txmom2011 Bet you still use that tv money though. Stop throwing your family under the bus. What ya gonna do when the well runs dry. Pompous ass

  • MrsMartell12_02
  • I too feel like he really loved and supported his family he wouldn't be throwing them under the bus like this...how does it make them feel?

  • ashleykashmir
  • I debated whether or not to comment. I get filming may not be your cup of tea (for whatever reason; money discrepancies, being 'fake' or scripted, any reason really).. But to publicly post something like this and put your family's paycheck on the line shows some true character. If people think the show is fake or scripted, don't you think people would stop watching? You want everyone to think you're the good guy just trying to stay wholesome.. And live the 'real roloff life'. When I think in reality, you're just bitter that you bailed and aren't getting the same paycheck everyone else is. Young and dumb, I'm sure money got in the way when it came to getting paid when you turned 18 and since it didn't turn out how you wanted, you through a fit and decided not to film again. I sure do hope you're as close with your family as you say because everyone deserves that. But what people don't deserve is you trying to ruin a good thing for them.

  • Jacobroloff45
  • @ashleykashmir shoulda decided not to comment .. You can 'think' all you want about my life but you'll never truly know unless it comes from my mouth. The world puts people in a mind of distrust, I get it, but you can hypothesize in private. Salaam
